The Black Dahlia Murder’s sophomore album "Miasma" has made it's way to 119 on the Billboard top 200 during it's first week of sales. Selling around 10,000 albums. The band also landed the #1 spot on the Billboard Heat Seekers chart, which celebrates new artists’ releases. In addition The Black Dahlia Murder made 5 on the
Billboard Independent chart and 14 on the Billboard Hard Music chart.
Vocalist Trevor Strand stated, “We feel that the new record is more intense than the last on every front. I would almost say less accessible than "Unhallowed". It’s awesome to see that our fans are growing right along with us, musically speaking, and are accepting the record with open arms”.
The band is currently making their rounds with Ozzfest and have been well received, “The fans have been coming out in droves, yet at the same time, we’ve been reaching a lot of new people, which is very important to us. We get to speak for a genre that is highly overlooked with this opportunity, and possibly save people from Nu Metal damnation.”
Black Dahlia Murder is also touring with It Dies Today and the Haunted on their off-dates and will be headlining a fall tour. Here are all of the current tour dates including Ozzfest and off-dates:
