I was there at Mansfield yester day and going to Hartford tomorrow. All I have to say is that this should have been called Maidenfest. there were way more people there to see them than anything else. I'm not just saying this either. Through out the parking lot there was everybody playing Maiden, flying flags and waring their tshirts. They were the talk of the day with little mention of anything else. I was blown away when they came out and the crowd went insane. and yes, I was one of the couple hundred people who left right as thier set finished because they were the only band worth seeing the whole day. sabbath just doesn't have energy anymore!
don't get me wrong, I do like Sabbath, I've seenthem 3 times and Ozzy 6 but it's always the same old thing. Bruce d***enson still has the same stage persona as he did back in the 80's which the crowd really apprecieated!

I went to the mansfield show and I thought it was awesome. As great as Maiden was, I think Sabbath stole the show, which is no real surprise. Ozzy looked amazing. This is only my second time seeing Sabbath and I've only seen Ozzy once, but he looked so much better than he has in the past. In Flames played great, but should have stayed on second stage. I'm not saying that for a bad thing, but I would have loved to have been able to get up close to them while they played. All in all pretty a awesome show.

That isn't the first time I've heard that BLS' sound was terrible, still, they do seem to have good sound when they are the only headlining act. As much as people may think this stupid, they are my favourite band and hope they sort out this sound problem before I get to see them.
I'd still like to see Sabbath in action at least once before they stop though, although they are getting on in years.
I'm not a big fan of Mudvayne but I love 'Happy'.
Can't wait to see Maiden though, even if it is an early day's tour, which Metallica really should do sometime.

Ozzfest actually looks better this year than it has since '99 IMHO........
Trivium, Mastodon, ShadowsFall, KSE, BLS, Arch Enemy, Black Dhalia, Inflames, Soilwork, Mudvayne, Sabbath all good or living greatness......and then a few bands that I have yet to hear or give much of a listen.....and uh...Wicked Wisdom...
heh....
Oh well, no such thing as a perfect lineup.

I don't even know why wicked wisdom is on the line up, i unlike others who dis them have heard some of there sh** and there a fu ckin pop britney spears cover band i know they got booed of stage and when my time to go to ozzfest roles around i'm gonna boo them off stage.

I saw the July 21st show in Darien Lakes, and thought the Hot Topic Stage was awesome. Best performances were Arch Enemy(I love Angela) and Mastodon. They destroyed all! I was terribly dissapointed with the main stage because i could hardly see a f***ing thing being so far back due to the f***ing seats in the way! What a terrible venue. It's ozzfest man, we should be able to get a hell of alot closer than that, no matter how much you paid. In Flames had a 20 minute set? WTF! The've been my favourite for a long while, and they have not been getting the respect they deserve. They've been producing real metal a long while before most of these bands even existed. Just wish they would play more of they're old stuff. I'm glad they played Pinball Map, but wish they'd play something from Whoracle or Black Ash.......alright that's enough. IN FLAMES AND ARCH ENEMY RULE!

Man, you guys are really pissingt me off. I'll put it to you this way, if you don't like Wicked Wisdom, then you obviously must not like Jesus, President Bush or DJ Jazzy Jeff. I guess I will have to pray for you.
On another subject, my uncle, Father Michael, is looking for a new altar boy so if you know anyone, give me a jingle. They must be young, fair-skinned and discreet.

what's up with all you fools dissin' phil collins? there's not one drummer on ozzfest that can play drums like phil. don't believe me, listen to Supper's Ready and you'll know. Ahh forget it, you're all to stupid to understand. you probably think that tommy lee and joey kramer rock, grow up

Well ozzfest has not come around redneck NC yet. But i can't wait. If you have not noticed so far i hate rednecks. Last years ozzfest was great in my opinion. But its like all of the f***ing hicks over here could not give many of the bands the respect that they deserve. And for in flames and arch enemy. I like them both. And i think the reason that they are not as popular here in the states because they are from over seas. And that really upsets me. I love metal but its like people from other countries are more dedictated to it than a lot of people here in the states. If you watch concerts from other countries its like the fans are into the whole thing. And the way people jump on the next cool thing here in the states bothers me. Remember when metal was the best thing in the the US from about 1980 to about 1994? And then the alternative stuff really hit. And after a few years of that rap. I hate to say it but its like the fans here are just not dedicated as much as you think they would be. Thats why i would really like to thank all of the metalheads that still stick to it. And its mainly worse down here in the south. I remember Dimmu Borgir playing here last year. They were great. And one of the only bands that were willing to stage dive. But all of the f***ing hicks were asking why do they have paint on their face pah? Whats going on with them daddy? I needa go f*** my daughter now. It was f***ing horrible. Its like the people down here have not respect for these bands. And when they saw otep on stage last year they acted like she was the damn anti-christ. I can recall one redneck saying that they did not think a woman like that should be at a heavy metal show. What the f***.

I would also say that since this is probably the last major ozzfest these are some of the bands i would have liked to see. Not that i'm complaining about the bands there now, because i do like them. But this is my lineup. Stage 2 in no particular order. Soulfly, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, korn, GodForbid, Superjoint ritual, Otep,Crisis, Lamb of god, system of a down, hatebreed, static-x, arch enemy, mudvayne. And the first stage would be bands that have been around for some time. In no particular order. Reunion Sepultura, BLS, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Judas priest, Dimmu Borgir, COF, Pantera Reunion with Zakk Wylde on guitar just because he was Dimebags friend, Van Halen with David Lee Roth, Marylin Manson, Motorhead, Danzig, Megadeth, Although i'm not a big fan anymore but metallica, Black Sabbath, Then Ozzy Solo.

Trivium on second stage? They really should be given more than 20mins to do a set.
Can't wait to see Maiden in August though, along with Megadeth.
