The band Wicked Wisdom will join Otep for their last two tour datesof their "Mouth of Madness" tour. One is in Tempe, Arizona on the 29th, and the other will be the 30th in Los Angeles, California. Otep's remaining tour dates are as follows:

this is an attempt at getting touring-cred...the thinking is if Wicked Wisdom can tour with the likes of the psycho circus that is Otep she may garner some kind of praise.
Again, I have to hear this band before I can declair an opinion but I would wager this is in response to all those talking about how Wicked Wisdom toured with Brittney Spears....thus they need to go with a tougher female tour mate.......Expect Kitte, Lacuna Coil and Evanesence and at heaviest, Crisis to follow if this trend continues.

Just saw OTEP, and Wicked Wisdom last night at the Key Club. First time for both bands. I love Metal and they both kicked ass. Jadas band will do well at Ozzfest. Tons of bands start out by opening for a heavier, more known band. That's how they get known. Behemoth is not black metal to my knowledge they are 'pig vomit' death metall alla Cannibal Corpse. The thing with festivals is they start with the bands that give substance to the genre (early Ozzfests included Tool, Fear Factory, Melvins, Deftones, Type O, Slayer etc. )......ALL of these bands were either obscure and unique heavy music or they completely embodied true metal.
In order to grow and make greater profits Ozzfest was going to the margins of the genre........(Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Incubus......CRAZY TOWN!!!!) Now in theory, bigger is better....for everyone. That theory is bunk.
If youre a metal fan who gets his jollies listning to the most heavy music possible for a reasonable price.....And lets face facts, Ozzfest stopped being reasonably priced in '99, the SOTU is your best bet. period.....
BUT.....Other than Wicked Wisdom and oddball moderate rcok band Velvet Revolver, the Ozzfest 05 line up is actually much better than any lineup in the last 5 years, so I --would-- encourage attendance.

HAHAHAHAHAHA.................Wicked Wisdom! I went to the first tour date of Ozzfest yesterday in MA. They were the opening band on the second stage at 9:30am. Apparenty they played to a crowd of about 50. I'm just guessing because I arrived at 11:00 and the parking lot was only 1/4 full and the people that were there were drinking and what not instead of watching the crappy nu bands on the second stage.

Actually, I got to Ozzfest at about 11 yesterday also and there were a ton of people at the 2nd stage. I have no clue who I was watching most of the time cuz I look at the pit not the band but... Of course as the day went on there were more and more people at the stage for Killswitch and Zombie but there were definately alot of people at the 2nd stage the whole time I was there at least. I don't know about during Wicked Wisdom because obviously I got there too late but...

I am a 31 black-female and have been a hard metal fan for at least 16 years. It is not a race issue, Wicked Wisdom has no right due to their popularity and $$ to forge ahead of other bands who have really paid their dues. When it comes to metal, I like it hard or not at all. All this black/white sh** is irrelevant. How the f uck can you tour with britney spears and then wanna rock out with Sabbath??? It is f ucking bad enough Lil Jon is sampling crazy train, and all the the good music is just geetting mucked up with bull sh**. sh**, I think Scott Weiland is cool ,but even that group is on the softer side.
Hopefully all of our remarks will have some impact. We are all metal fans, regardless of politics, and majority rules. The majority does not want Wicked Wisdom at Ozzfest and that's it...

But Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall have non-white front men and they were ----VERY WELL RECIEVED----- (I'm not even going to try and mention all the non-white guys behind guitars and drum kits in other bands @ Ozzfest).
The racist tendencies of the few just give everyone else in metal (fans, musicians) a bad name.
Wicked WIsdom are hated because they suck, they bought their way into the second stage over bands with substantially less capitol and Jada Smith lacks anything close to lyrical or vocal prowess.
