Elderly Men Break Out Of Home And Discovered At Wacken Open Air
According to the website Deutsche Welle, two elderly men escaped from their nursing home this past Friday and were found enjoying themselves at three in the morning at the Wacken Open Air festival in Schleswig Holstein, Germany. Though a police spokeswoman claimed that the men were "disorientated and dazed," they were both reluctant to leave the event, which on the day the men attended featured performances from Judas Priest, Danzig, Behemoth, Hatebreed and Udo Dirkschneider among others.
They were eventually returned to the care home however, receiving a police escort and being taken back in a taxi and patrol car.
"They obviously liked the metal festival," police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld told public broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk. "The care home quickly organised a return transport after police picked them up."
