My favorite song to date is probably "Divine" or "Blind", but later releases such as "Right Now" and "Counting On Me" are way up there. KoRn have always been a band alone; no other band has ever or will ever be like them. When they released the self-titled album, they practically created a new genre. No other band sounded like them. When Life Is Peachy came out, no other band sounded like them. Same with Issues. Same with Take A Look In The Mirror. KoRn have always been, and will always be unique. I have every confidence that their up-coming album will follow that trend. I have yet to hear a KoRn song I couldn't stomp to, even their unreleased ones like "Layla". I am mainly a metal fan, but I delve into all sorts of other styles as well, and to me, people should like or hate a band depending on their music, not on how they have changed over the years, or who has left, or how they advertise themselves. Look at me, I listen to Follow The Leader, and then put a Cat Stevens album on straight after. People need to learn not to limit themselves so much.

I've never hated korn, and I must admit to being impressed with their debut album. They never really came close after that. Every album after that has a small number of --"decent"-- songs but nothing moving nor groundbreaking, certainly not heavy.

They have made their mark though and their influence for better and worse, will be long lasting. Im just curious enough to listen to a copy(of the new one) one of my friends will inevitably get, but unless I find myself floored I wont be getting it.

Progressive rock is "dead" but Opeth, Porcupine Tree and Tool sure do make impressive music. Their alive and well if memory serves. And bands like Dillinger Escape Plan, Strapping Young Lad, old Metallica, Pig Destroyer, ShadowsFall, Devin Townsend Band, Mars Volta ( i hate em but their doing well), Mastodon........all of those bands borrow generously from a prog, a dead genre......

Being from a NON-POPULAR genre can be a good thinbg. This should be especially pertinent to metal, hardcore grind etc......

The SMART music fan uses genres to help others understand a new and unheard band.

YOU DONT CHARACTERIZE THE QUALITY OF A BAND BASED ON GENRE!

Thats like saying all hardcore bands are great.......feh, we know better.

ah Orgy, that was a fave my band of an ex-gf of mine. Those were differnt times. Yes, Orgy hail from California and still exist somehow. Their mostly studio musician friends of Korn and record producers who managed a few radio songs. They play well but their style and sound were a bit off for my taste. I like the whole idea of being able to ID people but I'm curious about a couple things. 1.) what happens if I post from a differnt computer other than the one in my home and 2.) what if two differnt people in one household are registered with 2 seperate accounts? Will they appear as the same person or will it just say same cpu or what? I'm excited about the updates though.....I'm looking forward to knowing jerks like Muffy from people with actual working frontal lobes.

It certainly won't be fool proof, but 99 times to 1 it's the same person posting from a computer spoofing as multiple users, rather than multiple users really posting, and letting you all see that will foil the whole impersonation act. If you want to go posting from multiple computers anonymously, it might make lameness harder to track, but you'll be found out eventually. Members are authenticated and can be banned, so the best way to not look like a poser/spoofer is to register your name and log in to post under it. Note, it's against my Terms of Service (short as they are) to register multiple accounts, so if you do this and abuse it, you'll likely have them all banned.

So be cool and cut the stupidity out (you know who you are).
