Linkin Park Demand Release From Label

The Associated Press reports Linkin Park demanded its release from Warner Music Group on Monday, claiming that the conglomerate, which is about to go public, is not devoting enough of its resources to promote the band. "We feel a responsibility to get great music to our fans. Unfortunately, we believe that we can't accomplish that effectively with the current Warner Music," the band said in a statement.

It's possible they could wind up on Def Jam with Jay-Z.Alot of people don't realize although Def Jam is a strictly Hip Hop R&B label when they first started Rick Ruben had sighned alot of metal act's I'm not sure but one of them was rumored to be ANTHRAX.I could be rong though.We can bash them all we wan't but it does not change trhe fact that people love that weak a$$ band.If Jay Z sighn's them it's a smart move.A true recording Empire Is one that has music for everybody.Kind of like OH I don't know WARNER BROTHERS !?!?

The guy behind the synth/keys/turntables the bassist and the drummer have the ability and probably even the mind for good music. we'lll never hear it, nor am i sure i would want to. whatever happens to those guys i couldn't care less really. i know they play/tour their little hearts out and thats a good ethic and they spend alot of time with their fans....which is also well meaning.....but their music is a wee bit puny for my tastes.
