Esquire Magazine 'Makes A Joke' Out Of Dimebag's Murder: Page Scan Available

A Blabbermouth.net visitor pointed out Esquire Magazine making fun of Dimebag's murder:

"I just bought the latest issue of Esquire, April 2005. The last page is an article 'This Way Out' by Brian Frazer. In it he makes a joke out of the murder of Dimebag. There is a pyramid of 'Recommended Daily of Vice.' On the top is a section 'Use Sparingly' and in it is 'Shooting ex-guitarists from PANTERA.' I think it is horrible for someone to make light of this tragic situation. We in the metal community should voice this. I sent an e-mail already and would hope everyone could do the same. There is not [an e-mail address] for the author, just esquire@hearst.com. I hope we can make our voices heard."

But theres nothing funny about being the victim of psycho.
Dime brought alot of people alot of great music and enhanced alot of peoples lives and inspired at least 2 generations of guitarists.....

I'm not saying that he's some sacred cow or anything, just that ill bet very few people actually laughed....

a joke that doesnt make people laugh is useless.........

the reason theres something called "dark comedy" is because people use humor to make light of scary things....War for instance....if solidiers weren't able to have a giggle about the life threatning severity of their situation they mite not be able to emotionally or mentally be able to carry on....comedy = coping mechanism.

so i'm not saying jokes should be limited or we wouldnt have hilarious jokes about bumbling political figures like Bill Clinton and Geroge W. Bush....because that would be limiting free speech.....i'm simply saying that if it's a joke about something SERIOUS.....It needs to be FUNNY or else its a waste.
