Twisted Wrath Issues Final Year End Message After Breaking Up
After announcing plans to call it quits this year, Irish metal band Twisted Wrath has now issued this final year-end message to fans:
"So, 2016 is coming to an end, and this year, Twisted Wrath came to an end - 9 years after that first jam between Colin and I that started the whole thing... 6 years after David joined the band, upping the whole thing several notches.
"I'm very proud of what the band achieved in it's many forms over the years. We didn't set the world on fire, or anything like that, but we got travel around the country, meeting great people, promoters, bands, etc.
"We got to make music, something that I would never have thought possible that first time I picked up a guitar and tried (failed) to play Metallica's 'For Whom The Bell Tolls.' We made 4-5 EPs - the latter 3 people know the most. It was amazing to see that so many people were happy to part with their hard-earned cash to buy the music we had put so much effort into.
"We got support some of our favourite bands/heroes. Anthrax in The Academy in 2014 felt like a real achievement... one of those 'if my 10 yr old self could see me now' moments. Schenker, UFO, Exodus - such cool memories. Thanks for any and all support over the years, no matter how small."
