Vermilion Whiskey Streaming New Song "The Past Is Dead"

After giving us a Pit Story about epic NOLA nights, Southern-tinged sludge/doom band Vermilion Whiskey just revealed new single "The Past is Dead," which can be heard below.

The song is a slow, groovy track reminiscent of bands such as Down and "Deliverance" era Corrosion of Conformity. "The Past Is Dead" is taken from the band's forthcoming EP "Spirit of Tradition," due to be released in February of 2017.

The band commented: "We're stoked to release our new single 'The Past Is Dead' and give our fans a taste of the new Vermilion Whiskey EP. 'Spirit of Tradition' was a real collaborative effort and we are very proud of the final product. We cannot wait to get back on the road in 2017."
