In an unprecedented move for Metallica and echoing Kataklysm's 10 videos last summer, the band will release music videos for each song from forthcoming album "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct" starting today at 12:00 PM EST. A new video will be released around the world every two hours.

New songs and their videos will premiere right up to when the clock turns over at midnight in New Zealand, where the first official copy of the new album will be available worldwide. The videos - shot around the globe - will give fans the opportunity to hear the long awaited Metallica album two days ahead of its official November 18th release via Blackened Recordings.

We've embedded those already released below, and will update this article with the new clips as they come online.

Directors for the videos include: Jonas Åkerlund, who originally worked with the band on "Turn The Page" and "Whiskey In The Jar," Clark Eddy ("Atlas Rise," and countless "Making of . . ." clips), Tom Kirk ("Moth Into Flame"), Claire Marie Vogel, Jessica Cope, Rob Valley, Phil Mucci, and Metallica's very own videographer Brett Murray.

"Popallica"
They are not a metal band anymore...
They are totally Posers!!!
They cannot play like the old times anymore...
Long live for Megadeth, Testament, Death Angel, Anthrax and Overkill...
These bands can really keep up with Thrash Metal!!!

Well, it was better than Lulu.

Nothing incredible, but not bad. I'll take it. Better than the crap a lot of bands have been putting out lately.

I dig it! Overall I like the production. Raw, crisp and clean at the same time.

My biggest issue with the album is Kirk. He just seems so uninspired. The solos aren't necessarily bad, but feel "boxed" or safe or something.

The harmonies though! Damn! I would have liked to hear more of them.

Anyway, I think the highlight of the album for me was "Halo On Fire".

Not bad really. This sounds like it should have come between AJFA and the Black album. The riffs are pretty solid with a return to form of their 80's down-picking combined with bluesy solos from the 90's. The focus on harmonies on this album creates a nice theme that holds the albums continuity together. Rob's bass is a welcome force, following the chugging parts or the more fretting passages. I liked the bass line in the ManUNkind intro and within Spit Out the Bone. James voice his more grit than in albums past. I also think Rob's backing vocals works well in some places. What lyrics I caught weren't cringeworthy, so that is an improvement over their past 4 or 5 albums.

I'm usually pretty critical of Lars and I still consider him the weakest link here. So, while there isn't anything technically impressive like parts of AJFA, his drum performance strikes a decent balance between the energy of MoP and the simpler 2/4 beats from his crap offerings in the 1990's. Still, his leg work leaves a lot to be desired.
I also echo Coldiem on the production and mix.

Overall, I think this is a well written Metallica album that tries to capture the good parts of their classic sound with the hooks and melody of their Black album.

PS, The Motorhead tribute of Murder One is well done.

You mean like this article posted on August 29th?
mu(dot)com/news/details.cfm?newsid=127042

There was also the other tour they did earlier this year...
mu(dot)com/news/details.cfm?newsid=122896

It took me less than a minute to find these articles that are just two of the 377+ mu.com posts related to Napalm Death.

Next time, actually put forth some effort before you falsely attempt to debase a website legitimately bringing recognition to lesser known bands. The Metallica articles help bring in site traffic which increases the chances of someone finding something off the beaten path. Plus, they do it on a shoestring budget with a small dedicated staff without resorting to typical clickbait found on other larger metal sites.

Well I had hope . I was really hoping to love this album, but only 3 songs I really like and a couple ok but forgettable ones. Hardwired, Moth to the Flame and Spit out the bone are the only tracks that really sound good to me. The rest have some cool parts , but the drums are boring AF and make the songs super repetitive. Guitar harmonies are rad and the vocal harmonies are great . I was even super happy with James voice , but too many drudgy riffs and mid tempo Lars does nothing to spice up .My end rating 2 skulls.

@ zeplica: If the criteria for good music is a$$es in seats then by all means continue to praise Country and Western artists and all of the current pop icons as well because they put just as many a$$es in seats as Metallica (in some cases more). Sing your praises based on ticket sales and move along. Last I checked everyone was allowed to have their own opinion. Your rationale is flawed.
