Korn Frontman To Once Again Collaborate With Rapper Lil Jon

According to a post on the KORN fan site KornWeb.cjb.net, KORN frontman Jonathan Davis revealed during an online chat Sunday (March 27) that he will once again be collaborating with rapper Lil Jon on an as-yet-untitled "crunk rock" song. Davis was said to be unsure if the track will end up on Lil Jon's next album or it will surface on an upcoming soundtrack. Jonathan also explained that he and Lil Jon have many things in common, including the fact that both artists have a 9-year-old son named Nathan.
KORN had previously collaborated with Lil Jon on a cover of PUBLIC ENEMY's "Fight the Power", but the rapper's contributions were subsequently replaced by those of XZIBIT ? allegedly due to an unspecified "record company" issue. The KORN/XZIBIT collaboration will surface on the soundtrack for "XXX: State of the Union", due April 19 via Jive.
As previously reported, the recording sessions for KORN's as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2003's "Take a Look in the Mirror" are scheduled to begin on April 11. A September release is expected.

OK I am a HIP HOP fan as much as I am a metal fan I've stated it before. However LIL JON represent's a sub genre called CRUNK that I don't really get into. The word CRUNK means to be DRUNK or HIGH on an insane level.Hence you start talking particularly loud not to mention being somewhat horny (hence lil Jon's terribly popular drink that has HORNY GOAT WEED in it).I'm almost never that drunk and the day you need a drink to appreciate Women or whatever your into on the most primal level, you need rehab not a drink. In any event I don't know what everyones up in arm's about .It's nothing new.Considering Lil John and Johnathan davis's mutual effection for CANIBUS he'll probably collaborate on a lot of stuff.Hell I'm serprised Johnathan has'nt worked with BUSTA RHYMES yet They've been in video's together.I like to think of it as a way to bring people together KoRn does have alot of HIP HOP fan's not as many as Limp Bizkit but alot.

to sex. If in the event you are commenting on my suggestion of BUSTA RHYMES.I'll put it to you like this.If your favorite performer is going to collaborate with another performer who's at the top of a genre of music you don't necessarily like. Then wouldn't you prefer it to atleast be with someone who's actually good at what they do as upposed to the flavor of the month ? A good example of this would be Kenny Rogers and Lionel Richie in the 80's or Stevie Wonder and Paul Mckartney or even Michael Jackson and Paul before back when Mike was still relatively sane. However if that's not what you meant please ignore my humble response.

ok... firstly, about THIS TOPIC, who cares if JD does something with lil jon... maybe its not for the korn fans.. has anyone thought that its not jonathan davis asking lil jon to do a track with him, but the otherway round? and so what...its something different! korn are still here, one member less or not, because they have stood the test of time. And for all those people that are dissing them...stop its really quite gay. If you dont like korn, say it in a way that someone will actually care about.. like "i didnt like the direction of korn after their 2nd album"...last time i checked these places were for discussions.. You must have an extremely large amount of time to come onto a forum just to pay out something you dont like. As for the pope and dime bag... i wasnt a fan of pantera or damage plan, but dont go talking sh** about people that have died... you're probably upset at that your pet ANT died when you were 10, and now your 13, you think its a good idea to come here and release your frustration on the world. And the pope is dead, yes. Dont go saying sh** about that either, whether you liked him or not. Its called respect, something your parents obviously never taught you, and decided to replace it with severe beatings instead.
And one last thing for korn4 life... i like slipknot, i didnt until their 3rd and most recent album, i went back to listening to the 1st album which i had for a long time, and really got into it... didnt like the 2nd though. If you havent listed to Vol. 3... check it out. its amazing.
theres my 2 cents.

Ok, let's say it your way....
Say ol' chap, I never did like the way that boisterously bad band Korn recorded their most recent album. *pauses to take a sip of tea annd a bite from a crumpet* I think the direction they are headed is absolutely ghastly for them. This Little Jon person isn't someone I'd go collaborating with.
Happy now?

wow, you guys are insane. korn has always had a bit of a rap influence, but, jonathan davis, if you read this, which you probably won't, i'm hopped up on chocolate right now, but i miss the days where korn ruled every ounce of rock, not try to follow other bands into the endless swirl of death metal. i really love death metal, but i love korn more because no other bands sound like them. and just because you add some crazy rap into it doesn't mean u still have that old nu-metal sound. it just means ur still fighting to be in the mainstream spotlight. no offense, i LOVE korn, and i follow them and love them no matter what, but i wanna love them for what they do, not because i'm obsessed.

rap/nu metal is the sh** that makes the metal world stink. life would be better without them. f*** korn, f*** rap, f*** all those bastards, f*** homo rap metal, listen to something good, like nile, cradle of filth, moonsorrow, iced earth, twisted tower dire, black sky radius

as much as i dont like the music you just refered too... i actually don't think that you're wrong for saying it. I hate most music that i feel is bullsh**.. the obvious pop stuff... also other f***ing sh** like that fa**otry excuse for music Simple plan... so you think that the music we listen to is bad.. and thats your opinion... but its your opinion.

look man, there's n*****s who listen to metal too!! And spics as well.
Heavy metal music appeals to not only to the supreme race (namely us caucasians) but also to the other lower races mentioned previously.
I appreciate this about metal even though a n***** in the pit is not a pretty site....

62. writes:
ooooooooooooh racism, thats so cool and im gonna jump right onto that bandwagon....Theres never EVER been black scholars or athletes....lower races?.....It's almost funny except that "to post 52" is almost without a doubt muffy....sad. Just to try and build the notion that metal is some kind of breeding ground for hate....
THIS IS THE BEST PART
ask any metal musician how they feel about racists and you'll pretty much get the same response. Violent disgust. One could argue that for some it's just a front but look at how many black, hispanic and asian etc. metal musicians there are......racists in metal are in an entertaining state of denial.

every one of you little kids dissing KoRn are douchebags. KoRn is one of the few bands around and that have been around that are trully unique and that aren't just making songs to "wow" us. Jon Davis is an amazing vocalist and puts his entire being into his music. I absolutely dispise Lil Jon, but I am curious to hear what the song is going to sound like and what direction it will be taken. I am somewhat openminded unlike many of the children who post on the board, so i can give things a chance and not just diss things I know nothing about. Actually listen to KoRn and if ya dont feel it, then open yer big mouths and say something. Dont just post useless bullsh*t.

i have seen korn many times in the early days in small clubs palying with bands like sick of it all and danzig and such, and have always tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, going in with an open mind towards them, and they have done nothing but continually let me down. i can say honestly i think they are one of the worst bands i have ever seen or heard. i have given them a chance and they blew it. and now collaborating with rappers? this should spell the end of that wretched band once and for all.
