School Shooter's Grandmother Denies He Was Metal Fan

Duluth News Tribune reports that the grandmother of 16-year-old school shooter Jeff Weise, Shelda Lussier that reports about the boy being disturbed and a loner were not true, though he did suffer from depression. Weise lived with Shelda Lussier, the station reported.

"He did not do all of the things that they said. He didn't listen to heavy metal music," she said. "He was not kicked out of school. He was on a 'Homebound' program through his own choice."

That would have been a great title a satanic death/black metal compilation cd...."Metal Made Me Do It".....it's so slogan-y it's begging to be used.........

You know what metal made me do?......metal helped me get over family ordeals, break ups, highschool and college woes, bad days at work, broken limbs from skateboarding accidents(well 10 years ago) that weird angst thats just a part of growing up.

.....and then the good times......many many good times with metal......shows...o so many shows....those giddy album release days, the friends made thru mutual love of the same bands and genres, kick-ass new bands, time tested veterans......none of these things made me lash out at others.....

now i have had a semi-destructive and bizarre history, metal wasnt exactly motivating me to spring into action.....I was the one who was f***ed up....More often than not the music would get any and all...we'll call em "naughty-violent" tendencies out of my system before a person or property could come to be harmed........

Metal is a great crutch when u are flustered or even furious.....it doesnt generally cause people to self-destruct or attack at random, it's just a high energy outlet for the band and it's audience.............

But as the media...other than this fine site...will remind us, is that metal WAS created by Hitler and it contolled the nazis, killed the Jews, put African-Americans into slavery, caused 911, Pearl Harbor (remember tora tora tora...hehe) the fire bombing of Dresden, the black plague, the depression, the crusades, the Hiroshima and Nakasaki bombings and of course who can forget: RODEOS...RODEOS ARE THE CARNIVAL OF THE DAMNED....and somehow metal is responsible for those as well........

f***ing rodeo clowns RUINED MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!

well if we're having a convention here id just liketo say...."my name is johnson, and ive been a metal head for 12 years now. and without metal id probabley be living in crackhouse sucking d***. but, im not, and had it not been for the POSITIVE messages i took from bands like Pantera, Slipknot (yes you heard me right) Lamb of God, and many oothers id probabley be dead. Metal isnt for everyone, and its the ones who try and use metal as an excuse for THEIR ACTIONS that are ruining its reputaion...when in reality its the parents fault...right?
