New Flaw Rough Demo Track Available for Download
Sin's Metal News has posted a raw demo track from the remaining members of FLAW, who are currently looking for a new lead singer. Ryan Jurhs (Bass), Lance Arny (Guitar), and Micah Havertape have been busy since singer, Chris Volz departed, and have written music for an albums worth of material. The band is looking for someone, "who can really sing, write lyrics and melodies."

Chris Volz is the reason why the new album didnt go anywhere. He wanted to go all mainstream and do what the label wanted. The band should have sticked to what they did for the first album. Good guys, just were lead in the wrong direction by the label. I hope the guys find another singer, cause Volz can be easily replaced.

Endangered Species isn't mainstream, it's just not very good. I'm not sure how you can blame Chris for that, since Ryan and Lance wrote every song on that album, and the label, not Chris, decided which ones got used. As far as Chris being so easily replaced, I' guess we'll just have to wait and see, but I've got twenty bucks that says Vent ends up on Warner Bros. and lanceryanmicah end up on Earache.

thats nice val...i live in louisville and see many many live gigs including flaw, their good guys all of em, including chris, but things just didnt work out with the label and band friction, that happens sometimes...
i wish chris and flaw the best of luck because they are all gifted and distinct sounding muscians, but i dont know if either flaw or vent will be as good or better than that major label debut, that album was marvelous, no filler or bad songs...
.the last cd was hurting for a mutitude of reasons, though "recognize" and "you've changed" are excellent cuts...the departure of their lead guitarist stunted that last record...oh well im rambling, hopefully vent will have strong signature players as flaw did, and hopefully flaw will find a stellar vocalist to fill the void left by volz...

Well I think vent is going be better because if the new band Vent and Chris put there heads together and work hard then thats definately going improve from the last album.Thats really cool Derail that you see chris and his flaw band. Also I think he will improve more but he is really a good singer so I hope this band has really cool ideas and really cool sounds so I think its going be better but thats just my opion and I know vent has a site called ventspace.com.
