Black Label Society, Rob Zombie, Mudvayne, Killswitch Engage To Play Ozzfest 2005?

Word has it that BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and ROB ZOMBIE have both secured slots on the 10-year-anniversary edition of Ozzfest, with Zakk Wylde's troupe slated to kick off the proceedings on the main stage. Meanwhile, ZOMBIE, MUDVAYNE and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE are said to be in the mix for the smaller second stage, which is expected to feature more non-rotating slots this summer compared to the last couple of years.
As previously reported, IRON MAIDEN are set to co-headline the entire event with BLACK SABBATH, although recent reports indicate that OZZY OSBOURNE (with Zakk Wylde on guitar) may attempt to stage a solo performance at this year's festival. Also expected to perform on the main stage is the "Among the Living" lineup of ANTHRAX, which has already been confirmed for three European festivals this spring/summer (Holland's Dynamo Open Air on May 7, Sweden's Sweden Rock on June 9-11 and Italy's Gods of Metal on June 11-12) prior to their appearance at Ozzfest.

that is f***ing stupid! Lineup sounds good so far, is zombie putting out a new disc? I hope nmemic plays. Hopefully some different bands will play this year. I'd like to see Sevendust, Dry Kill Logic, and Life of Agony. Not a big Iron Maiden fan, rather see Slayer again, oh well.

I'm down with all the bands on here except Mudvayne. Surely they can come up with something better than that. With all these bands reuniting, why don't Rob Zombie reunite White Zombie, or Max Cavalera with Sepultura or something for Ozzfest. That'd be kinda neat.

A reunited White Zombie would be great for the second stage or even the first stage because they would have more room for the stage show. Yeah, I've seen Soulfly twice and they are f***ing bad. I think BLS should be right behind Maiden on the main stage, not first. Is Possessed even around anymore? They would be f***ing cool to see.

Mudvayne..good choice to headline the second stage..Id like to see Fear Factory co-headline. Whoever says Mudvayne isn't a good choice is wrong. As far as I know, no Ozzfest dates have been released yet. www.blabbermouth.net seems to have a lot of stuff about ozzfest as well as this site. Pretty sure they should be coming out within the next couple of weeks.

What the f*** is with you people. Maiden don't suck. They're just old and losing their touch..they don't suck yet. Ozzy is sadly on his way down..but I want to see both Ozzy and Maiden perform live before they die...Ozzy just happened to have laryngitis at the Camden Ozzfest, so I didn't get to see him. And I think Black Dahlia Murder would be a sweet addition to the second stage.
