Gomorrah Changes Name To Lucis Absentia, Releasing "To The Depths"

Static Tension Recordings is pleased to announce that the label will release "To the Depths," the debut EP by Ohio's Lucis Absentia.

The band was previously known as Gomorrah and originally released "To the Depths" independently in 2014. The album is a blistering tour-de-force of old-school thrash with a hint of modern metal.

The group commented on the name change: "Lucis Absentia is a name we came up with sort of out of the blue. It means 'Absence of Light' in Latin which we felt coupled well with the music. It's a dark name with a bit of mystique that hopefully draws some people in."

Static Tension Recordings owner Kyle Stevens also commented about the signing: "I’m beyond excited to be adding Lucis Absentia to the Static Tension Recordings family. These Ohio death merchants are set to decimate everything in their path. Nay sayers beware…."

"To the Depths" will be released on June 10th, 2016 and is up for pre-order at this location.
