Acheron To Stop Releasing Full Length Albums
Vincent Crowley from Acheron just issued this announcement online about switching gears to only releasing EPs and being a live band:
"After 28 years of releasing Acheron music, I have decided that Acheron will no longer be releasing anymore full length albums. Our musical catalog is very big and I feel I have put out enough quality work under the Acheron name that will keep the fires of Hell burning. The reality is when you have been around for so long you can release a fucking masterpiece and people will almost always think your older stuff is still better. I don’t agree, but I understand their nostalgic reasons.
"So from now on, Acheron will be more or less a live band. I have a great line-up and the energy they project is amazing. We plan to be changing up the setlist more often and adding more old songs to it. There will not be any full blown tours. Instead, Acheron will now only play shows that are worth while and festivals.
"There is always a chance to release some singles or EP’s in the future, but as far as new full length albums…I am done with that!
"I hope the fans keep supporting us and start requesting Acheron to be added to festivals or big shows in their area. You all keep this band alive. And we are willing to play for you as much as we can.
"I have other projects in the works, but plan to give Acheron 100% when it comes to playing live. And I am working on re-releases of all the past material in places around the world."
