I loved the complete Black Sabbath reunion lineup last year, and the set too even though it was short. It's clear they are doing the reunion thing this year and last, so why not? Haven't we Ozzy solo enough as of late anyway? He'll probably do the solo thing again next year if Sabbath plays this year. I'd be more interested in seeing Anthrax play than Iron Maiden as well. I'm sure I'll enjoy a few Maiden songs (like I did Judas Priest), but I was never really into them anyway. In any case, those three bands make this year's Ozzfest look mighty promising already. I'll just be happy if there are no [nu-metal] bands with only 1-2 albums under their belt headlining the fest. Bands like Chevelle played good sets and surprised me, but just did not make worthy main-stage acts, IMO.

All of the best Ozzfests have had great old-school headliners/main stage acts like Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera, Sepultura, etc as well as the new bands. Of course they'll have plenty of new bands as well. I wouldn't mind seeing Shadows Fall or Machine Head play the main stage or headline the second stage though. And sure, lots of young bands too - it's a great way to hear some bands I haven't heard before or seen live. But you don't usually fill the pavillions and outdoor venues on a travelling tour with only new bands.

As for Ozzfest having Euro and Scandi bands: Yes, Ozzfest deffintely should but, their is one slight problem .... Ozzfest needs to sign these bands to the tour BEFORE they sign themselves to the plethora of european metal festivals ... Ozzfest will never compare to the euro festival scene ... for two reasons 1: Euro festivals have bigger turn-out 2: Europe is a larger metal market than America, metal bands can eaisly make tons of money off these festivals and the record sales as in Europe metal is more accepted and mainstream .... lots of american bands go over to Europe to make money and become chart-topper European artists.

So, get use to see what i like to call the New Wave of American Metal (NWAM - hardcore, metalcore, nu metal .... all that punk-ish stuff) at Ozzfest because that is the metal that isn't really big in Europe but big here.
