H.I.M. Gaining Popularity With Help Of Bam Margera
The following excerpts were from an article on The Phoenix on Finnish band HIM gaining popularity and status in U.S.:
In today's rock music environment, it is rare to find a band that so unabashedly and honestly writes about love. Finland's HIM is the exception to that rule. The band's self-processed genre is "Love Metal," and has no quips about that generalization. The group's melancholic "gothic metal" music is served alongside lead singer Ville Valo's need to express what lies deep in his heart.
In Europe, HIM already has established itself as a powerful force in music, with number-one hits in virtually every country. However, it is only recently, with the help of MTV's Bam Margera, that HIM is gaining popularity in the United States. Margera has adopted the Heartagram, the band's symbol that looks like a pentagram with two points of the star rounded into a heart, which symbolizes the good and bad of love. Margera has plastered it on everything from T-shirts to skateboards. Virtually every episode of Margera's TV show, "Viva La Bam," has something HIM-related in it. From the giant Heartagram sitting in Margera's dining room to the tattoos he sports, HIM is everywhere.

I'm still waiting to hear them so I can't comment one way or another . As far as how can music be sexy ? Well I manage strippers so ask any girl that's into R&B or POP . If you don't want to do that then go back to Metals roots . The DOORS , Led Zepplin etc . The way Metal is wright now is not what it's alway's been . Hell I'm not the biggest Lita Ford or Joan Jett fan for that matter but atleast their fun to look at . Kind of like Brittney (bimbo with money)spears .
