"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Elm Street Parts With Bass Player Anthony Longordo

Bassist Anthony Longordo from Elm Street has issued the following announcement about parting ways with the band:

"Today I was faced with one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. It's with a heavy heart that I announce my departure from Elm Street. I'm still coming to grips with the decision, it all still feels very surreal.

"The band has been my life for the better part of 3 years now and I've learned, seen and experienced so much with the guys. It was a journey filled with peaks and valleys, but like anything of worth in life it all played a pivotal role in forming the person I am today.

"I want to thank them for the unique opportunity which has seen me span over 30 countries and 3 continents and wish them the very best for the future. I also want to thank everyone who has supported us over the years and made this all possible. Our tour managers Rienk, Loic and Silvo for keeping us safe and in good spirits on the road, our producer Ermin Hamidovic, every band we've shared the stage and the road with, sound and light people and as cliché and overplayed as it is, everyone who came out to a gig and gave us every bit of energy you could muster.

"It's been one hell of a ride and whilst I have no idea what my next venture in life will be, I can walk away from this one knowing I achieved purpose and fulfillment beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you all so much."
