Alice In Chains To Reform For Benefit Show
The remaining members of Alice In Chais - Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez and Sean Kinney - are to play their first show together since 1996. This will happen at the Premiere Club in Seattle in February, at a tsunami benefit show. They'll be joined by an as yet unnamed vocalist.

I agree with PorcupineOpeth99(who I am now calling Porky), Sully and Lewis can hit more notes than Scooter can. BUT, I'm willing to say that Erna is singing.
Maybe they'll have both Lewis and Sully sing. I'm not sure, but being as alot of the songs had Cantrell as the lead vocalist, you might be willing to think that it's some local guy they got.

I think jerry cantrell should do it, he sounds alot like layne did on his own solo projects especially on degradation trip but im almost willing to bet its the guy from damageplan they did record a song for dimebag and im sure he could do it i guess we will find out soon enough i hope it is taped. alice in chains live is amazing mtv unplugged was in my opinion better than their recorded material

damage plans singer could also pull off some of the vox tricks, and yeah half of what made AIC so great were the harmonies between Layne, Jerry and at times the guitar all at once. While i'm confident Cantrell can indeed cover Laynes parts...who would cover Jerrys?...my guess would be to have any of the aforementioned singers, their a great foil to Jerrys time tested croon, and powerful enough to step in Laynes shoes, if for only a few songs....I miss AIC now that we're on the subject...their in my top 20 best major label bands....classic, timeless stuff..
