Gwar Questioned By Cops
GWAR's king of crass Oderus Urungus found himself in a heap of GorGor dung this past Saturday evening in Studio City CA. Oderus had just finished a highly successful donation ceremony at Universal City's HARD ROCK CAFE, donating the original GWAR icon the Cuddle Fish of Cthulu, which had been imprisoned in North Carolina for the past 8 years for lewd behavior.
Here is the rest:
All of that took a turn, when GWAR agreed to donate the Cuddle Fish to the HARD ROCK CAFÉ at Universal City Walk Los Angeles this month. The ceremony started at 3PM at the Hard Rock Cafe, as a small, uninvited crowd began to gather, as well as members of the press. The actual ceremony lasted nearly 20 minutes, with Oderus covering the value of "this piece of Rock N Roll history is every bit as important as that.. (pointing to the kick drum from Steven Adler from Guns N Roses).
After the Q&A session was through, Oderus proceeded, as expected, to the Hard Rock Cafe Bar, where he enjoyed some fine spirits, and greeted the GWAR fans that were in house. However the ever watchful eyes of City Walk were also keeping tabs on Oderus, and waiting for the innocent, peace-loving alien to venture out into City Walk's main strip.
Once Oderus left the Hard Rock Cafe, Universal City Walk's security team approached Oderus, telling him that we would have to remove the beloved Cuddle Fish (which dangled helplessly between his legs). When Oderus protested what would be an obviously painful task of removing the Cuddle Fish, security held firm proclaiming, "City Walk is family oriented place, and this is just obscene!" (those of us who've paid for parking at City Walk know the real meaning of obscene).
Within minutes Oderus was in handcuffs courtesy of the LAPD! Oderus was held for questioning, remaining in hand cuffs until finally let go, and ordered to leave City Walk at once. Oderus invited the participating law enforcement to the upcoming GWAR show in January as he got in the car. The officer had no response.
We left City Walk being followed by a Police Cruiser, and some fond memories of our afternoon at Universal City's City Walk.
