Kult Mogil On New Album: "All Men Play [With The Volume] At 10"

The new Polish death metal group Kult Mogil is about to release a debut full-length titled "Anxiety Never Descending" later this month via Pagan Records.
We are stoked to be premiering that album in full a little closer to the release date, but in the mean time we wanted some more info on this mysterious group that hasn't released much info about the lineup.
After getting in touch with the members the other day, the end result was a fabulously nihilistic and snarky interview. It's clear that "Anxiety Never Descending" is a death metal album in a very literal sense of the term, with the band describing the central lyrical idea by saying: "Through the words the readers have to realize that with time there will be more and more deaths, then suddenly their turn will come. The end."
It's also an album meant to be played LOUD, as I was informed the only proper way to hear the disc is with the volume nob firmly cranked to 10 and no lower. Check out the full interview below, to discover such gems as where parts can be appropriately fondled (and remember, English is not these guys' main language).
xFiruath: Let's start off with the band name – what's the proper translation and what sort of idea is the name presenting?
We don't know words corresponding with specific feelings in common languages. "Mogila" is just like a mother. So translation for a day is "Cult of Mothers."
xFiruath: What drew you to Pagan Records and what formats will the label be releasing your new album in?
Pagan Records was interested on their own, Tomasz Krajewski offered to sign a contract shortly after the release of our demo. The CD will be released on Christians' X-mas eve, with tape and vinyl next year.
xFiruath: Kult Mogil is described as a “death metal band” in the press releases, but going back and listening to that demo I'm actually hearing some pretty strong influences from other styles. How would you describe the music, and how has the sound changed from the earlier demo to the “Anxiety Never Descending” album?
Our music is death metal because these sounds wade groin-deep in death. There were no style changes, just after finishing the demo 2015 we moved smoothly to the work on the debut album.
xFiruath: Who handled the cover artwork for “Anxiety Never Descending” and what connection does the imagery have to the music?
The cover idea and sketch has been done by Carolina Sadly, but the final shape we did on our own. It perfectly corresponds with the word "anxiety."
xFiruath: What's your ideal listening format for the album? Should the audience be following along in the booklet or have their headphones on and tuning out the rest of the world?
All men play on ten.
xFiruath: What's happening as far the lyrical themes on this album and what are you hoping the listener will take away from the release?
Through the words the readers have to realize that with time there will be more and more deaths, then suddenly their turn will come. The end.
xFiruath: What's a Kult Mogil writing session like? Do you all come together to work on a song or does everyone handle their parts separately and then bring it all together?
Both ways. Riff writing is individual work, arrangements are the teamwork. The fondling of parts can be done anytime and anywhere, at home, during rehearsal, in the toilet.
xFiruath: Where do you see Kult Mogil sitting in the Polish metal scene and how does your approach to metal differ from other Polish metal groups?
Sitting in a corner we pretend we don't exist. Different but the same, because of genotype.
xFiruath: Will Kult Mogil be performing any of this music live or is “Anxiety Never Descending” meant to remain a studio release only?
We don't know. We'll do some performances for several people perhaps. Maybe not.
xFiruath: After the release of the new album what's on the horizon for Kult Mogil in the coming year?
We will write new music or disband the group.
xFiruath: Aside from your own releases, what music is really grabbing you lately and what's coming out you are looking forward to?
We are waiting for the new effort from David Bowie.
xFiruath: Anything else you'd like to add?
Nothing.
