Lightsabres Releasing "Beheaded" Album On Cassette
Toronto's Medusa Crush Recordings is pleased to announce that on October 31, 2015 the label will release a cassette version of "Beheaded" by Sweden's Lightsabres.
While the band's name may conjure up images of space battles and droids, the music is in fact a bewitching hybrid of doom, sludge, punk and psychedelia. This is the second album from Lightsabres that Medusa Crush has released on cassette.
Label owner Mathieu Sankeralli commented on the release: "After re-releasing the debut tape 'Demons,' Medusa Crush Recordings is just as stoked to present the latest album of lo-fi punk goodness for release on ltd. cassette! For those who have been following Lightsabres, this album sees a progression in style and songwriting, yet with the brash and raucous signature sound you've come to know and love. This grand tape also marks the 10th release for MCR, and we couldn't be happier that we are offering such a cool album."
The cassette will be available in red (15 copies), green (25 copies) and black (60 copies). The album will be available for purchase on October 31 via the Medusa Crush Recordings Bandcamp page.
