Lae Releases "To Give You The Stars Above" Video

"Break The Clasp," the debut album from Lae -- the Montreal-based psychedelic post-hardcore quintet fronted by Steve Austin of Today Is The Day -- is now finally ready for release in its deluxe vinyl format.

An official video for the heartbreaking "To Give You The Stars Above" has also been released and can be seen below.

The album was recorded in full analog in main songwriter Marc Lucas Ablasou's woodshop in Montreal by Steve Austin, who ended up providing lead vocals to the entire album, and the lineup completed by Ronald Jean-Gilles, Serge Nakauchi Pelletier and Stephane Desgroseilliers.

Re-envisioning their original anthems penned under initial moniker Lae-Tseu in the mid-late 1990s alongside new songs, the band recorded live on vintage 1970s equipment utilizing a range of guitars, basses, drums, accordion, trumpet, saws, organs, pianos, electronics and a multitude of vocal styles into a four-part storyline of life, love, hope and death.

The record was then mastered by Austin at his own Austin Enterprises (Converge, Burn The Priest/Lamb of God, Deadguy). See Lae supporting the material live:
