Rob Halford Discusses Desire For A Lady Gaga Collaboration

In a recent radio interview with Scot Fox (97.9 WCPR Rocks), Rob Halford of Judas Priest discussed his love of playing classic songs live and his hope to one day collaborate with none other than Lady Gaga. You can hear the 8+ minute interview below, while relevant excerpts from Halford follow:
"I was in a hotel in London the other day and Gaga was two floors above me. Needless to say, security was really, really tight. We didn't really get to see each other again that day, 'cause she was super busy.
"But let me tell you: that lady is a heavy metal maniac. She loves Priest, she loves Maiden, she loves Motrhead, all of these kinds of heavy metal bands that have been roaring on throughout the decades; she's a big fan.
"When I met her, I think it was last year in San Diego, where I'm hanging out these days, we immediately bonded. She's just this wonderfully talented lady with a spectacular voice.
"You know, you have to cut through a lot of the visual stuff with Gaga and then get to what her voice is about. For me, as a singer, as a fellow singer, she's absolutely sensational and I would love at some point to do something with her. I don't know if ever that's gonna happen, but it's on my bucket list."
Judas Priest tracks will also be appearing on the launch title list for the upcoming Rock Band 4 as music games make their triumphant return this year. Full details at this location.

I'm with Satans Child on this one, I can name-drop a few artists as well and pretend to be a fan of them when being in the presence of an associate. And she's a popstar, god knows how well she can pretend ... stuff.
This makes no sense, that sell-out mainstream show is about everything Metal is going against, I don't see her being a real metalhead. Either that, or she understood nothing at all. Sorry, I'm really always trying to be open-minded with this and Halford is not a bad dude by any means, but this is just stupid.

No offense to rob, but there are plenty more singers out there who have way better pipes than some sell out popstar. If she was really a metal fan she wouldn't promote the crap she does. You can find better halford
