Limp Bizkit Frontman Fred Durst Says That He's Not A Poser
Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has posted the following message on the band's official web site:
"Happy new beginnings to the [Limp Bizkit] army. A reality check for the posers is what 2005 has in store. Fuck them all.
"When I say posers, I don't exactly mean haters. We are all haters in some form and display this at some point in our lives.
"Posers, to me, are people who are doing things in their lives, specifically making music for the masses without it being honest and consisting of what they are truly about inside themselves, but more like a half-assed attempt to create a formula that displays their true colors aren't so true.
"Quality of music or the success of a band does not determine whether someone is a poser to me personally. It's when you know in your heart that someone's shit is as phony as a fucking three-dollar bill.
"Regardless of being liked or disliked, even hated, I can sleep at night knowing I've always been true to what I feel inside and have never gave a shit about what anyone thinks about it. I'm on my own path and have stayed true to my heart my whole existence. I also don't believe someone is a poser when they have an identity crisis and are only trying to find their way to get to the next level of their life.
"But this is all my perspective and I am an individual with my own views and perceptions. So don't confuse what I am saying and think my revenge has anything to do with haters and those who don't understand Limp Bizkit and myself.
"I told you I think it's cool to be a hater because I happen to be one myself. Clarity is on my side right now and remember, beauty is through the eye of the beholder.
"It's on."

Fred Durst needs to jump off a bridge. Or take LOK's suggestion. He is nowhere close to being metal, or talented. HE is the one who needs a reality check. And he couldn't have summed himself up better than anybody in this paragraph:
"Posers, to me, are people who are doing things in their lives, specifically making music for the masses without it being honest and consisting of what they are truly about inside themselves, but more like a half-assed attempt to create a formula that displays their true colors aren't so true."

Wow his music is called rap-metal. I dont know if you know what that means but to people who know how to think that means metal with rap involved ok smart ones. It may be easy to get p***y but christina aguilera, britney spears give me a break you get the cheap sh**.

It's called rap metal, but tell me where there's metal in it, just tell me. Riffs stolen from Korn and played even worse are not metal. Lousing up the Who's 'Behind Blue Eyes' is not metal. Screw off.
And if you think Aguilera and Spears are as good as it gets, you must not have gotten laid, because I and I'm sure everyone else here has picked up hotter girls than those pop muzak slags.

"OK" I'll give you all a breif history of the music known as rap metal. It all started back in the early too mid 80's with RUN DMC @ songs called Rock Box And King of Rock Then in the mid to late 80's believe it or not ANTHRAX came along . They made a song called I'm the man that sounded more like a joke than anything else inspite of the fact that some if not all the members are actually fans of old school Hip Hop.The only other thing they did that I'm aware of was a remake of Public Enemies bring the noise and it was outstanding if i must say so myself. This was followed in the early to mid 90's with Ice T.Apparently a closet metal and punk fan forming his band Body Count in my opinion the best band in the history of this style of music . Unfortunately they more or less shot themselves in the foot with a song called Cop Killer . This song upset so many people that even former President George Bush Sr. had an issue with it . They were basically swept under the rug after that which made way for Rage Against The Machine . A great band But a little too political for me and a lot of people . Finally some record exec realizes exactly how much money can be made and start's sighning band's that can play this style of music thank's to MTV it catches on and this is how we get Fred Durst and co. not to mention KID ROCK .Now at the risk of sounding like I don't care about Fred durst (I don't)and just for the record I've gotten used to him having some pointless fued or whinning about something stupid.Could someone please explaine #1 what the HELL is he crying about now and #2 What does it have to do with SlipKnot ?

LimpBizkit have never said anything of substance, ever. There was an "energy" to the first album, and occaisionally clever remarks here and there. Good instrumentation, nothing great, but solid. The second album was glossy and commercial-crossover-city but it still had a charm to it. The third album was unforgivably terrible (the best thing being the guitar work in "It'll be Ok") and I never even bothered with the last record. If Wes Borland can salvage this band then more power to him, but Dursts attitude and weak, whiney, me vs the mean world lyrics will be a major hurdle. Probably an impossible feat. I might at least give the next album a listen if they booted Durst...he's done enough damage and made enough money anyway...

Ups to Derail, i mostly agree with ya lad/lass...anyway, WHAT IN THE BLOODY-FOOK-SHAITH is Durst rambling on about. Its reads like some kind of message from a sleep deprived, pill popping, man-child to the whole world who couldn't care any less...I just checked out this forum for a quick giggle, I got just that too. I wonder how many people LB can swindle out of their money now that they suck sooooo bad.
