Satyricon Members Arrested, Tour Scrapped

Guitarists for Norwegian black metal band Satyricon have been arrested in Toronto, Canada for allegedly drugging and raping a woman following a show at Fun Haus in Toronto earlier this week. The Toronto woman claims that she was with Satyricon's A.O. Gronbech and Steinar Gundersen (also of Spiral Architect) in their tourbus, but eventually woke up somewhere else and had been sexually assaulted. The guitarists are currently being detained and DNA samples have been taken. The Norwegian embassy was told of the arrest and has been working with Canadian officials on behalf of those charged. If convicted, the two could each face up to ten years in prison. Needless to say, the group's remaining tour dates with 3 Inches Of Blood were subsequently cancelled. If you're fluent in Norwegian, you can view more details here.

wow, that's some f***ed up sh** right there. I caught Satyricon in San Francisco a few weeks back. I must say that they f***in' kicked ass. To bad that they got themselves in something f***ed up like a rape case. And joey was just amazing on drums. I got to meet him after the show. He is a genius

And I am tied in bronze chains"

OK,do guys have to prove themselves by raping? they should get that 10 years punishment. On the other side, the girl didn't have to go to their tour bus.what did she expect?a nice chat with 2 drunk guys? yea,right... But thet still doesn't approve the raping. drop dead satyricon.

Hey silence, do you know something we don't? As far as I know they were only charged. I still thought they had a trial yet. If I am misinformed please correct me. Oh yeah, and they are NOT Saytricon members, only session musicians for the tour. Black metal demon: you must not live in the US, otherwise I think you would put up with Joey's "pathetic" drumming for a night for a chance to see Satyricon live. We are just lucky enough to see Satyricon at all stateside. If you lived in the US and had a chance to see Saytricon play with Joey filling in on drums, can we assume that you would not go to the gig?

Dominionof satyr.. yeah only the 2 session members are involved, and they are not convicted yet I think.. if they´re guilty they will get 10 years or something right..? I don´t know why satyr didn´t choose any other norwegian BM drummer to go along, I assume he is satisfied with joey´s drumming...and that´s that...

If you thought Post 18 was anything but sarcastic you are in serious need of a boot to the skull you retard. When has Black Metal had a "good" name? The day it does it will not longer be Black Metal. Go read about your idol Fred Durst and quit letting other people who read these posts know what a dumbass you truly are.

Do you ever get the feeling black metal + North America = bad combination? Half the bands can't even get in, and when they do, they're attacked by moronic DJs, their fans are stabbed in the crowd and now this. At least Satyr himself isn't involved.
