Septicflesh Streaming New Drummer's Krimh Drum-Playthrough For "The Vampire From Nazareth"
In 2014, Septicflesh's drummer Fotis Benardo left the group and was replaced by Austrian drum wizard Kerim "Krimh" Lechner (ex-Decapitated and live fill-in drummer for Behemoth's Zbigniew Robert "Inferno" Prominski).
Check out Krimh's play through video of "The Vampire From Nazareth" below, taken from the Septicflesh's 2009 album "The Great Mass".
Krimh comments:
"I feel very honored to join such a great band which has been one of my favorites since years. Septicflesh’s music is outstanding and unique. It is melodic and heavy but with groove. Exactly how I like it! I can't wait to start a new chapter with SF and see you on the road."

I'm not hearing the issue with the floor toms. Either way, I can't see it being the mix. More likely to be trigger-related in some way. As far as comparisons go, I'd say Kollias with a bit more finesse. Not really well-versed in Yeung myself.
And I totally agree with you about the playlists. I tend to leave tabs in the background while I'm surfing other stuff. Tabbing back in to that video with the animals getting beaten is enough to piss anyone off.
(Rant) On a side note: whoever put that video together is a sick f*ck. It's not provacative or shocking or whatever they were going for. Just plain sickening. There's absolutely NO need for stupid crap like that. It just promotes the association people make with metal and violence. I don't care about their stupid vegan message or whatever the hell it's supposed to be. There are better ways to assert your beliefs. (/Rant)

Listened to it again through headphones and it was just my sh|tty computer speakers. Completely my bad...
Yeung is a beast - especially live. In addition to filling in with Morbid Angel while Pete recovered, he's played with Divine Heresy and was on Hate Eternal's debut. They seem similar to me in their technique and playing style. I never considered Kollias that heavy of a hitter, just downright amazing with speed and limbic interdependence. Kollias is on a whole other plane, IMHO.

I watched some Yeung videos and I definitely see it. I can't honestly pinpoint why my mind went to Kollias, but for some reason it still does. I mean, obviously on the surface there's not a lot of similarity between the two but maybe if you imagined Kollias being slightly tranquilized you would see my point :P

Never thought of it before, but he reminds me of Tim Yeung. The floor tom sounds odd, sometimes high pitched, sometimes low pitched. Maybe it's something in the mix?
In another unrelated note, I'm getting d@mn sick of these videos linked within a playlist. I would probably be fairly indifferent to Raise the Veil and Monument of Misanthropy, but because they seem to follow every video I watch on MU, I now dislike them by association.
