Black Rainbows Announces New Album "Hawkdope"

Heavy Psych Sounds Records today announces a new Black Rainbows album titled "Hawkdope," to be released in the U.S. on March 17th, 2015. Distribution in the U.S. will be handled via Cobraside and All That's Heavy (in Europe Clearspot, Good Fellas, Cargo and Shellshock).

"Hawkdope" was recorded last August at Heavy Psych Sounds studio and was produced by Gabriele Fiori. Fiori is also the band's guitar player and vocalist as well as the man behind the label. He explains "Hawkdope is a perfect mix of Monster Magnet, Hawkwind and Fu Manchu -- a psychedelic, lysergic storm of heavy space-rock containing nine brand new tracks." The band also proudly cites Nebula, Black Sabbath, Blue Cheer and the MC5 as particular favorites and influences.

The band formed in 2005 and has six releases out now, including a four-way split featuring Naam, White Hills, Black Rainbows, and The Flying Eyes. See the band live on these dates:
