Bloodstock 02 UK Metalfest has been rescheduled to now take place on Saturday 31st August 2002. This was necessary because of several factors including:

  • Wishing to bring some superior acts in from Europe who will not be scheduling any shows in the first half of next year. A number will be recording their next album releases at about this time. It seems more sense to have our show around the same time of the Major European Festivals when bands would be more committed to coming to the UK, with a product to promote.
  • Eliminate a potential clash with the recently announced Ozzfest at Donington.
  • Bring the festival in line with Derby Jubilee 2002 celebrations who will help to sponsor the festival to become a bigger and better event!
