Progressive Metal Supergroup Alkaloid Streaming Two New Tracks

Progressive metal supergroup Alkaloid is streaming two new tracks in support of the band’s crowd funding campaign for upcoming debut album called "The Malkuth Grimoire."

Alkaloid is featuring singer Morean (Dark Fortress, Noneuclid), drummer Hannes Grossmann (Blotted Science, ex-Obscura, ex-Necrophagist), guitarists Christian Muenzner (Spawn of Possession, ex-Obscura, ex-Necrophagist), Danny Tunker (Aborted, ex-God Dethroned), and bassist Linus Klausenitzer (Obscura, Noneuclid).

The band announced an Indiegogo crowd funding campaign this week as we reported yesterday. "The Malkuth Grimoire" is due in spring 2015. Alkaloid offers great exclusives for everyone who donates and helps the band to reach the funding goal to release a new album next year.

According to the band: "The music we write with Alkaloid is very diverse, it’s radical, new, and it’s very progressive. Music labels want music that they can label."

You can now stream the songs and the clip below. If you want to donate you can do this right here.

That was pretty bad a$$! If I'm not reading too much into it, this maybe the reason for the departure of Hanns and Christian from Obscura.
