Absu Hold At Four

Texas black metallers Absu are now a quartet after their search for a second guitarist (aka Ancient One in Absu speak) ended when Kashshaptu joining the fold.

The rest goes as follows:

"With vast experience in guitar technique and arcane knowledge, Absu have found the perfect member they have been searching for since 1993," said drummer Sir Proscriptor McGovern from his Dallas home. "We thought we’d never find another guitarist that could fit our intricate style of fanatical, occult-style metal music until we met Mr. Kashshaptu himself. I must say we’re quite fortunate to find someone that lives in our hometown of Dallas as well. Now, who would have thought of that?"

In similar news, Absu are working out a full U.S. tour sometime in mid-2002. So far everything on that front is tentative, but expect a firm answer sometime in early 2002.

Now that the Absu line-up is complete, the black metallers will commence work on their sixth full-length album. The album is self-titled. Absu Absu is likely to surface in late 2002 on Osmose Productions.
