The Crinn Releases New Song "Silent Betrayer"
Minnesota’s extreme metal experimentalists in The Crinn have returned with a face melting new track entitled "Silent Betrayer."
Little has been heard from the band since the release of debut full-length album, "Dreaming Saturn," via Nuclear Blast Records back in 2010. Aside from a few one-off live performances and few and far between social media updates, The Crinn been excessively quiet over the last few years.
All that changes with the release of "Silent Betrayer," which is taken from forthcoming album "Shadowbreather." Check it out below. Vocalist John Nelson had the following to say about the upcoming release:
"It has been a long 4 years since we released our first full length record, 'Dreaming Saturn,' and we are beyond pumped to showcase 'Silent Betrayer' from our upcoming album entitled Shadowbreather!
"The first thing people might notice, contrary to our last release, is that the new album was not formed as a concept. The direction we went with was to write individual songs that are somewhat shorter in length, more in line with our self-titled EP. Stylistically we have no rules. We write what comes to us. These songs are a true expression of our experimental nature with a bit of a focus on making our sound meaner and heavier. We really hope you enjoy 'Silent Betrayer,' and we will be releasing more news on the album soon!!!"
The "Shadowbreather" album was recorded at Signaturetone Recording with producer/engineer Adam Tucker. A release date has not yet been set.
