Album is solid. Definitely a mix of Iowa and Vol.3, but it's also got the upbeat pace of AHiG.
5, 8 and 14 are the weak songs. They're all soft and/or not really heavy at all. Especially 8 and 14.
Custer is easily the best song on the album. f***ing badass. I give Vol.3 a B+, AHiG a A- and The Gray Chapter a solid A.

THE INTRO TO SARCASTROPHE SOUNDS LIKE A MASH OF PINK FLOYD'S TIME AND AC/DC'S HELLS BELLS. OF THE FOUR NEW SLIPKNOT SONGS I'VE HEARD (THE NEGATIVE ONE, THE DEVIL IN I, CUSTER, SARCASTROPHE), MY FAVORITE TRACK IS THE DEVIL IN I.
