Lamb Of God: The Real Metal Deal

Canadian music magazine Chart Attack has posted an interview with Lamb of God vocalist, Randy Blythe:
If you haven't heard "Ashes Of The Wake," the new album from Virginia metal band Lamb Of God, then you are weak. Undeniably brutal, "Ashes Of The Wake" is the band's first album on a major label. In a scene that prides itself on being, it's up to the metalheads to decide if this newfound attention is a good thing or the not. Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe spoke with ChartAttack recently to say that he doesn't really give a shit what the metal community thinks. To him, music's just music, man. Regardless of what label it's on, if you haven't heard "Ashes Of The Wake" yet, do so because it will kick you in the privates.

All I have to say is....ITS ABOUT GOD DAMN TIME SOME GOOD METAL CAME OUT. I mean look at the mainstream metal scene the last few years, its been Korn, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit rip -offs. Now that us hardcore and underground kids are getting our voices heard bands like Killswitch, LOG, Hatebreed, Godforbid, Shadows Fall, Unearth, Bleeding Through, ALL THOSE BADASS BANDS that will beat the f*** out of any nu-metal band out there. If you think Lamb of God is boring, go to one of their shows, I GARAUNTEE YOU WONT BE BORED!!!

i like Randy's thinking - it's great they write what they feel. It dont matter if its pop or metal. most metalheads don't know what the f*** they want anyway
keep doing what youre doing - there will be ones that dig it, there will be others
who hate it.
in the end no one gives a f*** - and you've still got a landmark album!!
