Joining on with the crowd funding revolution, Rob Zombie has launched a campaign to raise funds for his new movie "31," which will continue his evil clown fetish and take it to new heights.
You can find all the perks for contributing and full details at this location. Rob Zombie himself also comments:
"Welcome to my next film. It is called 31. It is the story of five random people kidnapped on the five days leading up to Halloween and held hostage in a place called Murder World. While trapped inside this man-made Hell they must fight to survive playing the most violent game known to man... a game called 31.
"31 has no rules. 31 has no boundaries. It is ever so simple. Do whatever you can do to kill your opponent before they kill you. Keep this up for 12 hours and freedom is yours.
"Who are the opponents? Well... a group of vile, filthy, blood-thirsty clowns known as THE HEADS. They come in all shapes and sizes and each grows nastier than the last.
"What kind of film is this you ask? It is a fast paced, mean dirty film for those who like it rough. Get ready for a sick piece of celluloid! This is some hardcore business for the blood-thirsty gore hounds.
"Get on board! Get involved! Be part of this horrifying business! The world of horror needs you!"

Bwahahahaha
So after the utter $hit fest that was Halloween II and then that utter abomination Lords of Salem, Mr. Zombie has to go to the fans begging for money to make his movies.
LMAO!!!
Utter f**** hack of a director.
I was hoping Salem would sink him and it did.
Studios won’t even fund him…took them long enough to wake up.
Here’s a few suggestions.
Stop making horror movie, your movies aren’t scary.
Stop placing your stripper wife in starring roles, she can’t act.
Stop using tired out rock music from the 60’s and 70’s to convey emotion, they don’t.
Stop making movies period, you suck.
Reform White Zombie or get the original lineup from Hellbilly 1 back since that was your best solo album by far.

This is ridiclous this guy is a millionaire he should not be begging his fans for money for a movie he wants to make, he cant rely on fans now cause no one wants to fund your habbit, cause before they where just fans now you want them to be pals with you just to feed your addiction of movies.
It seems like some people don't understand the premise of crowdfunding.
He's not begging for money. He's offering incentives for people to invest into the project. Instead of asking for studio support, he's giving special offers for fans to provide the cash up front.
Instead of paying the studio or loan back with the proceeds from ticket sales, he's getting the sales up front through people paying in advance. Rewards to the people to join in the crowdfunding vary by the amount of the donation. It ranges from posters and trinkets, up to being in the movie and/or Executive producer credit.
Another benefit of crowdfunding is it helps to see the demand for the project. Looks like it's going good so far.
Like it or not crowd funding is the future, and it's both good and bad. Good because it lets creative developers entirely circumvent the middle man (like publishers in the video game world) who aren't willing to spend money on something that may fail but could be amazing - this has gotten us things like Wasteland 2, Torment 2, Pillars of Eternity, etc. But also bad, because people will plop down money on the most ridiculous sh**. A guy just made more then 7 MILLION on a crowd funding campaign to release an ice cooler with a boombox and a blender strapped to it. Crowd funding shows where people really want their money to go, instead of having studios and publishers second guess base on polls and previous sales.
He should have to pay us for those horrible abominations of a so called remake to the Halloween films. I disregard them films from the series. Not a Rob Zombie fan although I did love Hellbilly Deluxe back in the day when I was 12, before I knew real Metal lol!
