Living Colour Announces New Album "Shade"

Living Colour, which was previously featured in our Sunday Old School column, today announces new album "Shade" and a tour set to kick off September 18th at The Opera House in Toronto, Canada.

The group — vocalist Corey Glover, guitarist Vernon Reid, bassist Doug Wimbish and drummer Will Calhoun — is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on "Shade," which will be produced by Andre Betts and mixed by Ron Saint Germain.

Due out in the Fall, "Shade" follows 2009's "The Chair In The Doorway" and is Living Colour's sixth studio album.

"'Shade' is the sound of a band coming to terms with its shadows and light," says Reid. "From the blue pulpit of Robert Johnson to the mean red streets of Brooklyn to the golden lure of Hollywood, 'Shade' is the next chapter of a unique American journey."
