Hornet Launches New EP Crowd Funding Campaign

U.K. hard rock outfit Hornet is set to enter the studio this summer to record a brand new EP and is now offering fans the chance to pre-order exclusively through a PledgeMusic crowd funding campaign. Details and perks for pledging can be found at this location.

Every digital EP also includes a ticket to an intimate pledge-only launch show at a secret location in London later this year.

This isn’t the first time Hornet have used PledgeMusic, as the band ran a successful campaign last year and released debut album "Skies Are Falling." Frontman Joe Thompson explains: “We have a close relationship with our fans and like the fact that they can be involved in the making of the record with us and not just listen to it. Times have changed, I think it’s an important thing nowadays as people like to follow their favourite bands online and like to have a closer relationship with the band and the music.”

Hornet is giving fans access to an exclusive blog via PledgeMusic talking talk about the record and showing videos, photos, and rehearsals. As a bonus, there will be prizes given away to one or more lucky fans for every 20% of the band’s target hit such as VIP tickets to a headline show at The Barfly, Camden on 29th May, signed merchandise, and more.

“The ‘Pledge-only’ EP launch show is unlike any show we've done before as our fans will decide the set list, hear the new songs played live for the very first time, get a signed setlist from the night and gain early entry to the venue and receive their photo with us. I think it’s going to be something really special” says Joe.
