METALLICA IS TRULY ANOTHER STEP FURTHER AWAY FROM IDENTIFYING WITH ITS HARDCORE WORKING CLASS FAN BASE. IT'S NOT THAT THE BAND DOESN'T HAVE CHOPS, IT'S THAT THEIR ARTISTIC VISION IS DILUTED WITH AVANT GARDE AND HIGH CULTURE ELEMENTS WHICH MOST METALHEADS SHUN. NOBODY LIKES A SNOB.

NOW PLAYING- BLACK SABBATH "NEON KNIGHTS"

Meanwhile, the best attention they could get is to actually write some solid, hard-hitting metal songs and hire a no-nonsense metal producer to tell them what to do.

Ironically, these arty experiments and avant-garde fiddlefaddling around are what people expect from Metallica these days. Surprise us by giving us a [well produced] metal record!
