Hells Headbangers just announced the final lineup for the label's three-day "Hells Headbash - Part 2" festival, set to take place in Cleveland, Ohio on September 4th - 6th.
After the first "Hells Headbash" last summer - which was held at the label's distribution warehouse, and was filmed for a special DVD release set for later this year - Hells Headbangers expanded the fest to include an additional day and with an even more epic lineup of HHR-affiliated bands.
Set to take place at the Agora Theater, "Hells Headbash - Part 2" will feature the first American performances by Satanic Warmaster and Destruktor and exclusive performances by underground legends Archgoat and Profanatica, as well as 31 other Hells Heabangers-supported bands that span the spectrum of death metal, black metal, thrash, grind, metalpunk, and plenty of filthy points in between. The full list of bands, in alphabetical order, are as follows: More...
Fifteen years ago, Black Witchery and Conqueror, both still virtually unknown outside of a small cult of maniacal blasphemers, united for the split release entitled "Hellstorm of Evil Vengeance." Exploring a style that few North American bands dared approach at that time, Black Witchery and Conqueror inherited their extremist tendencies from the likes of Blasphemy and Sarcofago, among others. Looking back, the release can now be regarded as something of a statement of intent in that it signified the establishment of a second wave of bestial black metal.
Although external circumstances would necessitate the termination of Conqueror’s mission immediately following the release of the split, J. Read continued treading the path of the Superion with Revenge, and R. Forster was initiated into the ranks of Blasphemy. Black Witchery also persisted through the years.
Since the split release in 2000, Black Witchery and Revenge have shared numerous stages all over the world and maintained a united front within the underground. Now they team up again for a new slip coming via Nuclear War Now! Productions.
The three tracks on this record from Black Witchery herald the arrival of new guitarist Alal'Xhaasztur (of Nyogthaeblisz, Hellvetron, and Nexul) alongside core members Vaz and Impurath. More...
