The Will Of A Million Streaming New Song
Arkhum's Stephen Parker has issued the following update about his solo project The Will Of A Million:
"Greetings to all! I'm here with an update that's only slightly related to Arkhum, but still very important to me!
"If you are unaware of the fact that I have a 'solo' project then here's a history lesson! Back in 2007 I decided I wanted to make music that was different than Arkhum. It's called The Will Of A Million and I refrain from pegging it into any specific genre, because I like to do whatever the fuck I like. I've released one electronic demo that kinda resembled a terrible Ulver and an even worse Burzum.
"It was bad.
"Anyway, long story short...I recorded an album...mixed and mastered it, and now it's ready for release! It comes out next month on Glossolalia Records and will be available worldwide! Below I've included a new track from the album, so give it a listen! I hope you dig it!"
Arkhum Issues New Album Update
Arkhum has issued the following statement about the band's upcoming second album and about releasing a digital EP:
"Hey there, it's Stephen and I just wanted to give a small update regarding our second album. BUT before I do that, I'm stoked to announce that we're releasing a free digital EP today with a couple remixes and a different mix of Bloodgutter Encircling! We are also posting a preproduction sample of our new song called 'Cenancestor!' This song will appear on our second album which should be out early/mid-2012 on Vendlus Records!
"Granted this is a very rough demo, it will give everyone an idea of what the Arkhum clan is doing at this moment. I have also filmed a guitar video to go along with our new track that will be out today as well, through our friends at No Clean Singing!
"We have decided on a title for our second album and most of the tracks are completed. I hope to enter the studio this December with our drummer Armen, to begin tracking all of the drum parts. Everything else will be record in my own personal studio from there on. We haven't decided on a mixing/mastering engineer just yet but we hope to have all that resolved here very soon!
"The track listing and album title should come later this year. Until then keep checking back at No Clean Singing for our EP and new song! Thanks for all the support!"

After announcing the departure of the band's drummer in 2010, Arkhum has now issued the following statement about recruiting a new drummer:
"Hey pals! Arkhum is proud to inform anyone that cares about our new drummer; Armen Koroghlian. He's been the drummer of numerous bands in the past decade and is currently playing with Eugene metal band The Fool.
"We are hard at work writing our next album, which will be out either very, very late this year or early 2012 on Vendlus Records. We are also planning some US tours and gearing up for the worldwide/digital release of 'Anno Universum.'
"Thanks to our friends, family, and fans for all their support over the years. We should be posting some preproduction demos of new material in a few months, so stay tuned!"
Arkhum Parts With Drummer
Arkhum has checked in with the following update about parting ways with drummer Matt Reeves and working on new material:
"First of all, we'd like to thank all the people that have bought 'Anno Universum!' It's been getting really good reviews across the board, and for that we're way stoked! Now to business... We recently parted ways with Matt Reeves and are now looking for a drummer. It's pretty important that we find one in a fairly quick manner, due to upcoming shows. If you're interested hit us up on MySpace, Facebook or at our email: arkhumbooking@hotmail.com Details will be discussed in aforementioned messages/emails.
"Arkhum also has some new music in the works that we would love to debut live, sometime this Winter, so stay tuned for that! Also buy our things, so we can fund other things! We have new shirt/hoodie designs in the works and would love to get them out, but that takes money! So buy some stuff! Thanks!"
Arkhum Signs To Vendlus Records
Oregon's Arkhum has issued the following announcement about signing to Vendlus Records for the release of the "Anno Universum" album:
"Arkhum has recently signed a two album deal with the fantastic Vendlus Records. The marriage of Arkhum and Vendlus is going to be an amazing one, to say the least. They have shown a great interest in Arkhum and 'Anno Universum,' which leads us to believe that this will be a most successful deal. You can get the album straight from us starting on August 20th at this location.
"A great big thank you goes out to all that have supported us through the years. Including our friends, families, and any bands we've shared the stage with. You should definitely expect to see more of us around in the next 12 months. With the writing for a new album already underway we have big touring plans on the horizon. Stay tuned."
Arkhum Issues Album Update
Oregon's Arkhum has checked in with the following update about working on a new album:
"So our album 'Anno Universum' is almost 100% complete! The art is completed, now we're just working out the album layout, which is about 99.7% finished! It is looking absolutely stellar. Christopher Horst and Abe Hurd really did a fantastic job on this album. Also, Jason Walton got back to us with some rough mixes, and we'll hear the album in full this weekend, make some notes then we'll have the 100% completed product in abut a week or so!
"We're disgustingly stoked for this album, you have no idea. It's sounding awesome, and we have even begun writing for our next effort. We also have a new shirt called 'Arecibo' coming out with the album, and it's stupid awesome. Alex Hoffman from Fallujah and Cypher Media did the design and it is so nice. If you need any shirt/layout/covers done, hit this guy up, he's way good and has good prices.
"We'll be putting the album and shirts online for those of you who can't make it to our show, or live far away, and it'll probably be way cheap there as well. Look for our BigCartel page soon! Last but not least, come to our album release show if you live in the Eugene/Springfield area on August 20th at The Wandering Goat. The show is with our good friends in Omnihility and Rye Wolves, as well as the black metal fiends from up north, Infernus. Come rage the show with us!"
Arkhum Checks In With Album Update
Oregon's Arkhum has checked in with the following update about a new full-length album:
"Recently Arkhum posted a new MySpace layout, beautifully crafted by our friend Christopher Horst. The layout features the artwork from our new album Anno Universum, which will be out in August of this year. The artwork was originally done by our good friend Abe Hurd from the doom fiends Rye Wolves, and more recently edited by Horst. We spent quite some time getting this album together and we're really stoked on how it came out.
"Last week we sent it to Jason Walton (Agalloch, ELS, Self Spiller) to be mixed and mastered, and we're very confident that he'll be able to destroy the rough mixes we've posted. We will also be having a new shirt design along with the album! So if anyone wants one of those and the album, keep your eye out for its release! Thanks for all those who have supported us over the last bunch of years!"
