74 More Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2020

The organisers of Belgium's premier metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting have confirmed a further 74 bands for next year's edition of the event. Among the newly confirmed bands joining previously announced headliners Judas Priest and Iron Maiden will be hard rock pioneers Deep Purple, nu metal favourites Korn, Chicago stars Disturbed, the recently reunited Mercyful Fate, California's own, Deftones and pop punk stars The Offspring. The festival will take place across four days from 18th-21st of June.

Whitechapel Tour w/ Chelsea Grin, Oceano Announced

Whitechapel announce a fall leg of dates of their ‘Ten Years Of Exile Tour‘ which will find them performing their 2008 sophomore album in full each night. Chelsea Grin, Oceano and Slaughter To Prevail will join them as support acts. After the tour Whitechapel intend to return to the studio to finish recording their new release which is due out in the spring via Metal Blade.

Chelsea Grin premiere a new track titled “See You Soon“, which you can stream below. The group are planning to release their first album with new vocalist Tom Barber (ex-Lorna Shore) on July 13th. Chelsea Grin premiere a new music video for their new track “Hostage“. It stands as the second song the group have out from their new effort “Eternal Nightmare“, which will be their first with their new frontman Tom Barber, formerly of Lorna Shore. Barber replaced Alex Koehler in the lineup earlier this year. Guitarist Jacob Harmond‘s departure was also announced around the same time.

Chelsea Grin Reveal New Album Details

July 13th has been scheduled as the official release date for the new effort from Chelsea Grin. Rise Records will handle the release of that effort, which is entitled “Eternal Nightmare“. It will be their first album with ex-Lorna Shore vocalist Tom Barber, who recently took over for Alex Koehler in the band.

Artery Recordings Sold to Warner Bros. Records

Warner Bros. Records has acquired Artery Recordings. In a statement former president Shan Dan Horan confirms the news, which saw the entire staff of the label let go:

"To address the rumors, yes, Artery has been sold to Warner. I can’t disclose too much about the deal, but building up this company to a million record sales in just five years is a tremendous accomplishment for the fans, our artists and the team. I’m humbled and appreciate each and every band I’ve ever had the honor of developing at Artery Recordings. As we hand over the keys to Warner, I’m not quite sure their plans for the label or catalog, but I hope they keep the legacy alive. With new Slaves and Capture albums on the horizon, I’m sure the fans will be ecstatic."

Emmure To Headline Impericon "Never Say Die" Tour

Notorious NYC deathcore mob Emmure is very pleased to headline the Impericon "Never Say Die" tour 2017. Regarding the announcement, Emmure frontman Frankie Palmeri said:

“We’re very excited to finally be making our way back to Europe and the UK to play for some our most loyal and die-hard fans. Look At Yourself showcases some of our best material to date, and we cannot be more pumped about playing more new music for our fans overseas!"

The package boasts a billing of seven acts as Emmure will be touring alongside Deez Nutz, Chelsea Grin, Sworn In and Kublai Khan - with Polaris and Lorna Shore playing as rotating show openers. The full tour dates will take the bands across 12 countries throughout the month of November, kicking off in Hamburg, Germany on November 2nd, finishing in Stuttgart, Germany on November 26th. Three More Bands Confirmed For Bloodstock

By way of a late Valentines Day gift, Bloodstock is thrilled to announce three more bands for 2017’s event. The festival organizers comments:

"Arch Enemy will be joining us as Sunday’s special guests. Get a taste of their Swedish melodeath with the live video for ‘War Eternal,' shot at Wacken 2016 and check out what’s in store this August. The band, now fronted by Alissa White-Gluz, are set to release a new live DVD/Blu-Ray of full Wacken set titled ‘As The Stages Burn!’ on 31st March via Century Media.

"Salt Lake City deathcore mob Chelsea Grin also lands an early main stage slot on Friday. The band released fourth studio album, ‘Self Inflicted’ via new label home Rise Records last summer and unveiled a video for ‘Broken Bonds.'
