Metal Blade have confirmed that they will release Fates Warning's new album, "FWX," on October 5th. "FWX" was recorded in Stamford, Connecticut at Carriage House and will include the following song titles:

Album Update From Fates Warning Vocalist

Fates Warning vocalist Ray Alder has provided this update regarding the band's new album "FWX":

"We went into this record being as creative as possible, and we worked really hard. We were facing some big changes that made the writing and recording a long, arduous process. The result is a record that is a lot heavier than past records. It's also more technical than any other record we've done."

Cans Tour Dates And Lineup Revealed

More details have been revealed about the touring lineup for Cans, the solo project of Hammerfall singer Joacim Cans. Joining Cans in the group's current incarnation are drummer Mark Zonder (Fates Warning, Warlord), guitarist Stefan Elmgren (Hammerfall), keyboardist Danielle Soravia, guitarist Danny Gill and bassist Fredrik Larsson.

The CD was recorded between November 2003 and February 2004 at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden, Frankie's Hideaway in the U.S. and House of Music Studios in Germany, and was mixed and mastered at Twilight Studios in Germany. The recording lineup on the CD was as follows: Cans (vocals), Mat Sinner (bass, Primal Fear, Sinner), "Metal" Mike Chlasciak (guitars, ex-Halford, Painmuseum), Stefan Elmgren (guitars, Hammerfall) and Mark Zonder (drums, Fates Warning). News On Hammerfall Singer Joacim Cans Solo Album

"Beyond The Gates" is the name of the forthcoming solo album by Hammerfall's singer Joacim Cans. It is scheduled for release on April 19 through Sanctuary Records.

The album was recorded between November 2003 and February 2004 at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden, Frankie's Hideaway in the U.S. and House of Music Studios in Germany, and was mixed and mastered at Twilight Studios in Germany. The recording lineup on the CD was as follows: Cans (vocals), Mat Sinner (bass, SINNER), "Metal" Mike Chlasciak (guitars, ex-HALFORD, PAINMUSEUM), Stefan Elmgren (guitars, HAMMERFALL) and Mark Zonder (drums, FATES WARNING). Anthrax Officially Part With Bassist, Frank Bello

ANTHRAX manager Tim Dralle has confirmed to BLABBERMOUTH.NET that bassist Frank Bello is no longer a member of ANTHRAX. The group's official statement on the matter is as follows: "Due to internal reasons, Joey Vera (ARMORED SAINT, FATES WARNING) will be temporarily handling bass playing duties for ANTHRAX on their upcoming tours of Japan and Australia." Frank Bello Leaves Anthrax

Bassist Frank Bello has quit ANTHRAX and is relocating to Los Angeles to join the reformed HELMET, according to "informed sources". The surprising move reportedly came the day after ANTHRAX finished taping the additional video footage for their much-anticipated live DVD, "Music Of Mass Destruction", due on April 6 through Sanctuary Records. Replacing Bello in ANTHRAX on a temporary basis is veteran bassist Joey Vera (ARMORED SAINT, FATES WARNING). An official announcement on the matter is expected soon.
