Warbeast's CD Release Show in Fort Worth, Texas

The musicians that make up thrash powerhouse Warbeast are no newcomers to the scene. Using years upon years of experience in creating extreme thrash in bands like Rigor Mortis and Gammacide, Warbeast has just released their debut album backed up 100% by Housecore Records and it’s owner Phil Anselmo, who joined the band on stage to show his support. At Warbeast’s CD release show in Fort Worth, Texas, last week, old fans of the musicians and curious youngsters just learning about the legendary thrash scene of Texas showed up to get their heads bashed in with damaging riffs and paralyzing growls from all of the bands on the bill. But most of all, just to get a peek at the supergroup that will soon dominate the thrash genre. More...

Warbeast Comments On Upcoming Album

Warbeast's debut album "Krush the Enemy" will be released April 27th on Philip H. Anselmo’s Housecore Records. The record features ten tracks and was also produce by Philip Anselmo. Vocalist Bruce Corbitt had the following to say about signing to Housecore Records and working with Philip on the production of the album:

"Warbeast is proud to be signed with Housecore Records. I like the fact that their expectations are high for what they want out of a band. They also have a way of creating this family vibe between the band and the label, while making it obvious that they believe in us. That is all the motivation we need to want to kick-some-ass for their label at all times. We wanted Philip to be our producer and to be involved in the creation of this album. Overall… Philip made it a very beneficial, but also a fun and memorable experience. Philip made this album even better… and that is what a Producer is supposed to do.”

Warbeast Posts New Song Online

Warbeast has posted the first song from their debut album, "Krush The Enemy," on their Myspace page. The song is entitled "We Are The Vultures" and is the last song on their album.

Warbeast comments on the lyrics of the song, "The lyrics are about our fascination of Midieval times and human torture devices. The fact that the human race invented machines to torture and kill other human beings. Then it became a form of entertainment and the crowds flocked like Vultures to watch. We really are the sickest creatures on the planet."

Warbeast Vocalist To Work With Phil Anselmo

Warbeast / Rigor Mortis vocalist Bruce Corbitt has issued the following announcement about working with Phil Anselmo on the upcoming Warbeast album:

“We had hoped to finish recording our debut Warbeast album for Housecore Records back in April when we went to New Orleans. But we realized that it was just turning out too good to rush my vocals. I also had to return to Texas to get ready with Rigor Mortis for our show in Germany at Keep It True 12. I have always been rushed when it got to my vocal parts. So when Philip Anselmo suggested I just come back by myself and spend a week with him recording my vocals… I was thrilled at the idea of taking my time on each song.

“Not only that, Philip is going to sort of coach me and give me tips in the studio. I have always been stubborn about letting anyone help me with my vocals. I always felt I was limited with my vocal ability anyway. So I just refused any kind of vocal lessons or training and I liked the fact that I just got up there and did it my way. But this is a different story… this will be my first official release since the debut Rigor Mortis album back in 1988. So I am excited and anxious about being helped by one of the greatest singers in metal history. Plus he is a longtime friend and brother of mine. So I know I will feel comfortable working with Philip in the studio. I have no doubt that with this extra time to record my vocals and learning some of Philip’s recording techniques in the studio… that this will be the best I have ever sounded.

“I am humble singer with no ego and I never like to say shit like… ‘This album is gonna kick your ass!’ But, I honestly believe that we are creating a Metal masterpiece with this debut Warbeast album. The music and the variety of these ten songs is incredible. I will go as far as to say that I think this could be one of the best metal albums from a Texas band released in this entire decade. But, I will just let everyone else be the judge of that when it’s finished. So wish me luck in New Orleans and in the studio! I will be leaving on Monday or Tuesday.”
