Stonecreep Streaming New Demo Track

Portland's Stonecreep has released a promo video for a demo recording of their newest track "Night and the Formless Beyond." The track is part of batch of new material the band is writing for the follow-up to "The Deathcrush Marches On...," which was originally released by the band and then re-issued last year by Old School Metal Records.

The band had this to say about the song: "We started pre-production on the new album last winter/spring, and these demos were the result. 'Night and the Formless Beyond', along with the other songs, will usher in a new era for Stonecreep. The new songs are cold, bleak, and classic-sounding. You can hear elements of the band that have always been there, but we've now moved into something very different, very special."

On October 24th, Stonecreep will head out on the Infernal Autumn West Coast Tour 2012 with Toxic Zombie. Check out the new demo track below.

Stonecreep Readies New Album

Portland, Oregon thrash n’ roll quartet STONECREEP will release their fourth independent studio album next month. The album, entitled “The Deathmarch Crushes On,” is an eight-song melodic metal affair produced by Stephan Hawkes (Shelter Red; The Days, The Nights). The band will kick off the album’s release with a 17-date tour of the western U.S. Another U.S. tour will follow in the late summer of 2009.

Guitarist/vocalist Matt Litton had this to say about the album: “It’s got a little something for everybody. There’s fast, thrashy stuff; slower, heavier material as well as mellower, more ballady-type songs which is something that’s kinda new for us. We experimented with some acoustic instrumental things and we’re really happy with the album as a whole.”

The album will be available for purchase on the band’s website, as well as CD Baby.com.
