Suicidal Angels Issues Tour Recap

Greek band Suicidal Angels has issued the following recap of the band's recent eastern European tour with Death Angel:

"This is it then… After Thrashfest and the Eastern European Tour, a series of 42 live shows with our brothers, Death Angel, to almost every part of Europe, came to an end. We performed in cities that we had never played before, interacted with new crowds, made new friends, met new people, and we just want to extend a great Thank You to all those who showed up for these gigs, sweating and moshing their asses off for us. Also, we want to thank all the promoters who took care of us, all the zines who took the time to interview us, and the photographers who captured our moments on stage.

"A big Hello to Adimiron, Roots of Death and Resistance who shared the stage with us and showed everyone the quality of their work. We will run into each other in the future, hopefully. A million Hailz and respect to the Polish crew from Hell, Kuba, Lucas and Vacek, for helping us out on this tour and saved our asses many times during , as well as our tour manager, Darek, for keeping everything in order and for giving us memorable hilarious moments to take back home. Our tech, Manolis, who worked his ass off for us helped a lot, our soundguy Oscar for giving his best so we could perform with a proper sound, Anders and Thilo (Death Angel crew), our dear Julia, and last but not least, the Death Angel boys themselves, who are therefore considered brothers of ours.

"We shared booze, laughs, good times and important experiences, with these down-to-earth and open, legends of the Bay Area Thrash scene. Mark, Rob, Ted, Damien, Will, thank you for everything we went through together, we're sure to meet again soon!

"Our mext scheduled show is in Metal Bash Open Air in Germany, and we're looking forward to it since Deutschland has become our favorite place to perform in! Hope to see you all there! Until then….... Thrash Till Death!"

Death Angel To Release New DVD

American thrash metal legends Death Angel have announced that they will be releasing a new DVD in the Spring of next year entitled, "Death Angel: A Thrashumentary." A special twelve minute trailer for the film will be shown at this year's Heavy Metal Film Festival, which will take place in Los Angeles, California from March 31st to April 2nd.

Death Angel: A Thrashumentary is a combination live video and documentary, all wrapped up in one thrashing DVD. The footage was directed by Tommy Jones and mixed by Chris Clancy of The Studio. The film gives the viewer an in-depth look into one of the longest running thrash acts out of the San Francisco Bay Area, an area known for turning out historic thrash bands such as Metallica, Testament and Exodus.

With the band surviving a span of 30 years of activity, and nearly 25 years since the release of the classic album The Ultra-Violence, now was the time to tell the story. Filmed on the Relentless Retribution world tour, the film shows the bands energetic live performance, cut with documentary style interview footage. Fly-on-the-wall filming of the band talking about their career and footage of the band on the road, give the viewer a personal connection to what is known as the mighty Death Angel.

Suicidal Angels Comments On European Tour

Suicidal Angels has checked in with the following statement about the band's upcoming European tour dates:

"This Sunday begins the second part of Dead Again's promotion, spreading over Eastern Europe along with our partners in crime, Death Angel, whom we are more than happy to meet again.

"We are looking forward to meeting all of our friends in Poland, Hungary, Italy, Bulgary, Romania etc. Furthermore, we can't wait to perform in our motherland in both Athens and Thessaloniki, 2 shows that will be chaotic to say the least!

"We'll be bringing along new merchandise featuring the artwork of 'Dead Again,' which can also be found on our official site and webstore, so be sure to drop by the merch stand after the show and enjoy a beer with us, have a talk and hang out.

"On the road again then for 3 weeks, confident that the eastern part of our Thrash Crusade will be as great as winter's Thrashfest a couple of months ago and that's why we want all of you hyped and ready for a thrash, violent-friendly, fun night. 2 days before the Eastern Europe tour kicks off from Hungary, ready to ruin Eastern Europe with you! See you soon enough, Thrash till Death."

Death Angel Summons The Angel of Death In Chicago

See what I did there? Clever stuff, eh? Anyway, Death Angel is out doing a club tour across North America to support their newest studio full length, “Relentless Retribution,” supported by Lazarus A.D., Bonded by Blood, Early Man and Hexen. They stopped by Chicago on February 9, and already had a couple strikes against them before they even took the stage. But more on that later. Lazarus A.D. was supposed to be second on the bill but had van problems and didn’t make it to Chicago; an obvious bummer all around for obvious reasons, and it especially sucked for your correspondent, since I love me some Lazarus A.D. Hexen and Early Man were also replaced by a couple local Chicago bands. Enough preamble, let’s talk about what actually happened. More...
