Brotherhood Of The Lake Disbanding

Brotherhood of the Lake has posted the following announcement online about deciding to call it a day:

"We regret to inform you all that after seven unforgettable years as a band, Brotherhood Of The Lake has come to an end.

"We would like to thank every single person that has ever listened to any of our songs, everyone that has ever seen us play, everyone that has ever bought our music or our merchandise, everyone that has ever put us on a show, everyone that has ever given us a place to sleep and everyone that helped us achieve the things that we did.

"Special thanks have to go to Stuart Gili-Ross, Chris Pritchard and Jamie Farrell for their help and support.

"There will, unfortunately, be no final/farewell tour or shows, but rest assured that this is in no way due to any animosity within the band. We are all still great friends and the split is completely amicable.

"Thank you again. We've made some amazing friends and had the times of our lives creating this noise.

"If all you have to hold on to is hope, let go." More...

Brotherhood Of The Lake Issues Year-End Recap

Brotherhood of the Lake, which released new album "Desperation Is The English Way Vol. 1" earlier this year, has checked in with the following year-end recap:

"This year has been overwhelming for our band, incredibly hard at points but awesome. Easily the best year we've had as Brotherhood Of The Lake.

"We have played countless shows with some amazing bands, with great old friends and also some rad new ones.

"We have destroyed ourselves financially (and physically), lost members, gained members, had stuff stolen from us, had our van broken into etc but it all makes for an amazing experience and the rad times outweigh the bad by a mile.

"The response to 'Desperation Is The English Way Vol. 1' was a million miles beyond what we could have expected and we can only hope that the follow up in March 2013 will be equally well received.

"Thanks to everyone who reviewed the record/shows, gave us a floor to sleep on, a floor to play on, people who bought a t-shirt, a record, a patch and most of all the people who stood and watched." More...

Brotherhood Of The Lake Signs To Glasstone Records

Glasstone Records recently announced the signing of Plymouth (UK) alt-metal band Brotherhood Of The Lake. The band brings an onslaught of spiky guitar riffs and roaring vocals, backed up by an absolute bull of a drummer, keeping the songs on lockdown through beatdown after beatdown.

Making their live debut in 2006, and influenced by bands such as Converge, Slayer and Shellac, Brotherhood Of The Lake has toured with Johnny Truant and The Bled, as well as shows with Architects, The Blackout, Misery Signals, Terror, Emmure, Dead Swans, August Burns Red, The Ghost Of A Thousand, Devil Sold His Soul, Shaped By Fate and more.

Brotherhood Of The Lake's track "The Ocean" was played on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter.

The self-titled EP was recorded at Outhouse Studios in Reading by Matt O'Grady & Ben Humphries, mixed by John Mitchell, and features five of their finest tracks to date.
