Metal Injection photographer Nathaniel Shannon was on hand on the side of the stage of the Dillinger Escape Plan's headlining show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY this past Sunday, May 15th. Three More Bands Confirmed For Brutal Assault 2011

The organisers of the Czech Republic's Brutal Assault festival has announced a further three confirmations for this year's event. Newly added to the bill are Scottish hardcore punk/crossover thrash legends The Exploited, Bay Area thrash veterans Forbidden and American mathcore outfit The Dillinger Escape Plan. The festival will take place from August 11th-13th in Josefov, Czech Republic.

Dillinger Escape Plan Announces Free Show

On March 2nd The Dillinger Escape Plan will be playing a special free show at 12PM at the Yuerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco. The performance is part of the "Defend Your Homefront" rally in support of the March 15th release of the "Homefront" video game. The THQ game hits stores on March 15th and tells the story of America is the year 2027 after the Greater Korean Republic has taken over.

The Dillinger Escape Plan recently announced a two month tour in support of Deftones that will take the band around the country from April through June. The band is touring in support of the 2010 release, "Option Paralysis." The currently announced dates are as follows:

Long running U.K. metal act Panic Cell has announced its participation in the upcoming edition of the Damnation Festival. Panic Cell joins headliners The Dillinger Escape Plan, Earthtone9, Anaal Nathrakh, Lawnmower Deth, Alcest, The Construct, Colonel Blast, Diascorium, The Mire and Bonesaw.

Damnation 2010 takes place November 6th, 2010 at Leeds University Union, U.K.

Dillinger Escape Plan Issues Warped Recap

Vocalist Greg Puciato of the Dillinger Escape Plan has issued the following recap of the Warped tour and general update about the band's activity:

"DEP Update August 24th. Category: Food and Restaurants. This is in the food and restaurants category for a reason - because it's gonna be tasty and mother fuckin' delicious, just like this new Big Boi album I'm listening to right now, which is, by the way, really good. If you haven't checked it out you absolutely should. That's the soundtrack to this blog and the funkiest shit I've heard in quite some time, although new Cee-Lo is certainly lookin' promising too. So yeah...Big Boi aside, where are we? Three months since the last blog? Well I can tell you where we AREN'T. We AREN'T on Warped Tour, which is really fucking weird after waking up for seven weeks straight in a one hundred degree grass parking lot. Waking up in a larger than coffin-sized bed, WITHOUT Liam across from me and Ben above me, is still bizarre over a week later.

"Seven weeks...what happened? Well besides throwing packs of black cat firecrackers into our guitar tech/all purpose badass Doug's bunk and having him not even blink an eye or act even remotely startled, accidentally swimming in an alligator infested lake, and watching Ben eat a birthday cake with a purple dick on it...fuck. I wish we could somehow have all of you there for every killer moment, cause the offstage stuff is twenty three hours of the day, playing is just an hour, and in the case of warped, was only a half an hour.
