California outfit Conducting From The Grave will now be putting the band's name to the test, having just issued this announcement about deciding to call it quits:
"Hey we have been putting off announcing this now for a long time, because goodbyes are never easy, but we are no longer an active band. It may not come as a surprise seeing as how we went from playing 200 shows a year 5 years ago to 3-5 shows a year recently. The long story short of it is much the same as most underground metal and hardcore acts - we all grew up before our band was able to achieve any realistic financial stability for 5 people to pay rent and raise families on.
"That being said however, we want to send off with as much of a proper bang as our adult lives will allow. During the month of January 2016 we are open to booking weekend farewell shows in the West Coast region. Promoters can email email@example.com if interested in booking us in their city. More...

Sacramento's Conducting From The Grave recently finished a run of shows on the “Spread The Venom Tour” alongside Kataklysm, All Shall Perish, Decrepit Birth, and Abysmal Dawn. The band has now posted a music video online for the song "Her Poisoned Tongues," which can be viewed below.
John Abernathy (guitars) states: “Our tour with Kataklysm, All Shall Perish, Decrepit Birth and Abysmal Dawn just ended in Montreal and this was by far the best tour we have ever done. The shows were all amazing, especially the five Canadian dates.
“The video for 'Her Poisoned Tongues' was shot at a local Sacramento area club that we play fairly often called The Boardwalk. We went with director Will DaRosa because we saw some of his work with our friends in Havenside and Hoods. We chose the song because we wanted to do a live music video to showcase our live performance and that song has the gang vocal part at the end, thus making it the best candidate for a wild live show. We also wanted our local fans to have a chance to be seen in the video, and a lot of them definitely are since there were non-stop stage dives during the shoot. It was one of the most intense shows we've ever played for sure, and we want to thank all the fans that came out and supported us. We hope you enjoy it.”

"We are currently headed across the country to meet up with Arsis and Powerglove in New Jersey to kick off 'The Tour For The Sick.' This is going to be a total shred-fest. We're stoked to be playing with such great bands every night. As for us, we've put together a good mix of old and new songs in an attempt to put forth some of our most melodic guitar-driven material.
"The result is several songs we've haven't played live in a long time. So true CFTG fans will not want to miss this tour. We've put together a unique setlist just for you. 'The Tour For The Sick' is going to be one hell of a show every night. Be sure to come and hang with us at the merch booth each night as well. See you all soon."

Virginia-based metal act Arsis has announced the band will be performing the 12 minute title track from "A Diamond For Disease" in its entirely during upcoming tour dates. Bocalist/guitarist Jim Malone commented:
"We have been scheming among ourselves for quite a while about this, and now it's finally going to happen. We rehearsed the full version of ‘A Diamond For Disease’ last week and it came together even better than we had hoped! It needed the right tour and the right point in the life of the band, and we would not do it at all unless it was perfect. We're finally there. So everybody who's been asking us to play the entire thing every night for years and years... you finally get your (poisonous) medicine this December!"

The Sacramento, CA quintet Conducting From The Grave is set to release the new album "Revenants" on October 25th, 2010. The band has partnered up with Lambgoat.com to debut the new track “Unholiest of Nightmares,” which can be heard now via this location.
Guitarist Jeff Morgan commented: "The track, 'Unholiest of Nightmares,' is my personal favorite on our new album Revenants. It has a little of everything that represents our style from classic CFTG thrash-style riffing to pretty melodic parts, as well as crushing heaviness. The track does a good job of representing a fairly comprehensive musical picture of the band. We have been playing it most nights on the current tour (the 'Time to Bleed Tour' with Suicide Silence). So far it's been going over great, as well as has the rest of the new material we've been playing.
"Things are looking great for the immediate future of the band. We've got some great tours lined up and we're all super excited about the album release this coming Monday, October 25th. We actually get to play Denver to celebrate the release on Monday, which is great because Denver has always been like a home away from home for us. To give you a little insight into the lyrical content of the track I asked our vocalist, Mikey, to give a thematic/inspirational overview of the lyrics." More...
