Necro Leaves Sounds Of The Underground Tour

Self proclaimed "death rap" artist Necro has issued the follwing statement from his official Myspace:

"I decided to leave the tour collectively with my manager and booking agent (both tour organizers) because we felt the tour’s demographic was not receiving hip hop well. I was facing hostile, disrespectful crowds and was returning the same energy back ten-fold by being more aggressive than them.

It was making a lot of people in the tour crew nervous and there was concern someone might get hurt (NOT ME). It was also being suggested that maybe I tone down my live show and not antagonize the already antagonistic crowd. I couldn’t roll with that as it’s not my style. I was holding back enough as it is but there is a line. All the bands on the tour loved us and everyone behind the scenes knew we displayed major heart and never once got phased by the hostility. We finished every show with middle fingers up and a big "Fuck You" to the crowd.

I will make one thing clear for the haters: we NEVER got booed OFF the stage. Not once. Yes a ton of emo kids booed us at every show, but we had a twenty-five minute set every night and we stayed on stage for every minute of it, and we represented. Every show had at least 100 to 200 Necro fans in the pit tearing it up, and our meet and greets were incredible!

It’s just a shame these little kids are so close-minded. The majority of the hate was coming from mop top emo sixteen-year olds who have no clue who the originators of metal are, and didn’t respect my rest in peace chant to metal legends (Dime, Cliff, Chuck, Piggy, SOB).

As far as the tour organizers and I are concerned, you are my people so it’s all love and I’m thankful for the opportunity to prove I can murder it in the worst of situations. This actually did a lot for me and is just one move in many my team will make to blow Necro up"

Viva La Bands Vol 2 Complete Tracklisting Revealed

Bam Margera has made it his mission to expose an entire generation of his peers to some original high-energy music through his VIVA LA BANDS album and tour series. Brought to you by Ferret Music and Filthy Note Records, VIVA LA BANDS, VOL. 2 will hit stores on September 4, 2007.

The CD features exclusive tracks, written and recorded for the CD/DVD combo from some of Bam’s favorite acts like CLUTCH, IN FLAMES, CKY, CHILDREN OF BODOM, VIKING SKULL and VAINS OF JENNA. A US-exclusive track from SHINY TOY GUNS and music from other faves like GWAR, THE SOUNDS, DIMMU BORGIR and KILL HANNAH also appears on the killer compilation. The full track listing for the 20-song album is displayed below.

Bam is as excited for the release as fans around the world will be… "I’m so fucking psyched that some of my favorite bands recorded exclusive songs this time around! Clutch and In Flames fucking rock and my brother Jess did a sick CKY remix. Obviously The Sounds are one of my favorite bands - my wife even insisted that they play our wedding. I also sent the first band I signed, Vains of Jenna, into the studio to record a new track for the record.”

The DVD component to this release contains almost an hour of never-before-seen Bam footage – a must-have for the ‘Jackass generation!’ Revealing what makes the DVD special, Bam adds “I’m finding some of my best, unused footage for the DVD. Everyone keeps asking me for a CKY5 but I think this DVD might be the closest thing to that!"

Viva La Bands’ companion tour will be taking out some of Bam’s favorite acts and is estimated to visit over 20 cities in the USA beginning in October 2007. Fans can also expect to see Bam and his friends at select shows.

A Life Once Lost Complete Album And Tracklisting

Philadelphia, PA rock powerhouse A LIFE ONCE LOST has completed work on its new album, entitled "Iron Gag".

Set for a September 18, 2007 release, "Iron Gag" is a strong record by a band nearing an ideal of cohesion. A LIFE ONCE LOST's ever-catchy, artful assault remains, but the mood is electric, with tracks such as "Firewater Joyride" revealing the sound of a band that's on the threshold of a much broader audience. Known for flattening clubs with its firepower, A LIFE ONCE LOST have captured the intensity of its live show on the forthcoming release, the ever-mutating quintet merging continued artistic growth with an intense, wizened roar. The album was self-produced by the band and mastered at West West Side Music by the venerable Alan Douches.

The follow-up to 2005 album "Hunter", "Iron Gag" delivers a massive wallop of scorched-out, supercharged Hard Rock. Supremely well-paced, the release exhibits the sound of a band injecting a brazen swagger into its wide musical palette. The music dovetails its blend of raw Power Metal and fuzz-tripping Rock, combining each in various permutations: the Rock coming to the forefront in the songs "Firewater Joyride" and the crunching "Detest"; the more deliberate side of the band emerging in the bruising "Worship" and the snide, slow-boil of "The Wanderer". Like a shark, this band can only go forward and the deeper reaches of "Iron Gag" are very clearly the sound of A LIFE ONCE LOST finding new waters in which to hunt.

A sneak peak at what "Iron Gag" holds in store for its listener is now available as the new track "Firewater Joyride" has been posted online on the band's MySpace page.

"Today we bestow upon you the future classic known only as 'Firewater Joyride'," comments A LIFE ONCE LOST guitarist Doug "Snake Sustain" Sabolick. "Since we are known mostly for the ultra heavy, we figure we'd throw out a curve ball and release a f*ckin' rocker. It's time for the real motherf**kers to take the reins."

"There's a lot of things I wanted to say to a lot of people on this record," A LIFE ONCE LOST frontman Bob Meadows explains. "Even within a song, there could be two or three people I'm talking about. It was inspired by a lot of things I've wanted to say but haven't because I had to watch myself. There are so many ugly things going on in the music scene and life, and I was just like, 'F--- it, if I say something that's going to piss someone off, then it wasn't meant to be anyway. Let me just get this all off my chest.' So, this album's just really pissed, and it's very vicious."

"The songs are just way more fierce," he continues. "There's an element about it that Hunter didn't have, and I think maybe that was because of us doing it ourselves. It was us learning from [Hunter producer and ANTHRAX guitarist] Rob Caggiano how to actually approach the songs and my working with [LAM OF GOD's] Randy Blythe on the vocal production, which taught me how to approach the songs well. And with all of that working together, we've definitely put out a record that's going to move a lot of heads - make people turn around and be like, 'Holy sh--.' It's a monster of a release."

Here is the complete track listing for "Iron Gag":

01. Firewater Joyride
02. Detest
03. The Wanderer
04. Worship
05. All Teeth
06. Meth Mouth
07. Masks
08. Pigeonholed
09. Others Die
10. Silence
11. Ill Will

A Life Once Lost Finishing Writing New Album

A Life Once Lost have returned from their US tour with Napalm Death and been hard at work finishing their latest full length. Long time friend Randy Blythe will again step in to lend a hand with vocal production on the effort. The band's update is as follows:

well kids we are just finishing up writing the new album as we speak. At this point we are just focusing on weeding(haha yea) out unneeded parts, but new songs just keep flowing out every day!! Expect alot more variation on this album, some raging fast songs, some seriously brutal shit, as well as some sick rockers!! RANDY from LAMB OF GOD is making his way up to PHILLY next week to give MEADOWS a hand(job) with the vocals, much like he did on the"HUNTER" full length. We are demoing the whole cd at our friend Josh's CANNON ROAD STUDIOS, then come february 8th we are making our way up to TRAX EAST studios. We have serious love for this studio, as this is where we recorded our "A GREAT ARTIST" full length. Anyway that all for now. God Forbid Announce Tour and Plans for 2007

God Forbid have announce that they will be doing a short tour with A Life Once Lost at the end of this month. The tour will include a performance at the Saints and Sinners Festival taking place in Asbury Park, NJ. God Forbid guitarist, Doc Coyle, has posted the following update from the road:

“We are very happy to be home from a great European run. Heaven Shall Burn, Maroon, Cataract, Purified in Blood, A Perfect Murder and Narziss were all great people and excellent bands. Some of my personal highlights on the tour were the last show in Essen (the biggest show and the crowd was rowdy as fuck), Denmark (where we were fortunate enough to play with the legendary Entombed) and Austria (where fuckers just lost their minds).”

“There were plans in place for a U.S. headlining tour to close out the year, but it’s been rescheduled for Jan.- Feb. We want to do at least one more U.S. run before we start working on another album. What better way to come back than to play a long set with the biggest, most elaborate show that God Forbid has ever has done! We should have a concrete announcement in the coming weeks. There hasn't been an American tour since June, so we are raring to go. Speaking of shows, in addition to the Saints and Sinners Festival we have two shows with our good friends in A Life Once Lost and Diecast that same weekend. These will probably be our last shows of the year, so be sure to make it out.”

Confirmed dates with A Life Once Lost are as follows:

October 26 - Poughkeepsie, NY @ The Chance
October 27 - Orono, ME @ Ushuaia
October 29 - Asbury Park, NJ @ Convention Hall
